Serbia was disappointing, five minutes of good offensive play, no effort otherwise. Costa Rica joins the ranks of doomed teams that refuse to go down without a good fight. They lunged at Switzerland like a hungry predator out for blood, and while the fury petered out soon enough, they still gave us a respectable show.
My team is playing their farewell game today. @Rin Kagamine if nothing changes, Japan will win easily as your team has enough quality and determination to rip and tear through our pathetic defense and keep a clean sheet too. But I'm still hoping things will change. Come on, Poland. Look at Morocco or Sweden and take notes. Show me some ambition.
Pre-game edit: three players to keep an eye on.
- Fabiański - an actual goalkeeper replacing Szczęsny. He might actually save a shot or two!
- Kurzawa - a young and ambitious midfielder from our domestic league. I'm expecting him to perform decently.
- Glik - recently injured, didn't play in the first game, came on as late substitute in the second. He's our best defender, but in fact no one knows for sure if he's back to optimal form after the injury. Putting a giant question mark next to him.
Apparently Japan is playing without multiple first team players? Why? Are they really this confident about defeating us?
