Win this game and earn much fame, indeed! This is a little "tournament" I've decided to organize for all IPs and the sole IM onboard, for my own personal amusement, and also to start getting people working on their MAD SKILLZ rather than their brains! Mwahahaha. Indeed, I'm getting a bit bored of all these creative ventures because then I'd go to PSL instead, suckers. What exactly is this tournament, then, if I'm talking about it so... fondly? Well, you can probably judge from the title of this very topic - it's a BMS venture! But not just ANY regular BMS venture - it's Dancing Onigiri! The lovechild of StepMania and really shitty hit detection! Y'know, I don't think much needs to be said here, yeah? The tournament consists of 5 rounds. Each round has participants following the criteria listed in this thread and trying to attain the highest score they can! By the end of 5 rounds, scores will be analyzed and I will determine a ranking!! Rewards will be distributed accordingly based on the number of participants.

By the way, I'll consider giving brownie points to people who manage to beat my score on the same track I'm putting for each round!

You have 48 hours per round, if you do not participate within 48 hours, I will count your score for the round as 0!

If you are NOT an IP, feel free to participate - you may earn IP if you are skilled enough.


If you're an IP and you do not participate, depending on whether I'm bitchy or not on the day, you MAY lose your IP. So I'd participate if I were you. ;)

Don't complain, I was able to get 200+ combo on Youmu's PoFV theme with arrow keys that are smaller than my piano fingers.

I have literally no experience with rhythm games, which I've been told might be a good thing in this case. I think this is going to be fun.

Quality sometimes helps with input latency issues...supposedly.

I really hate how Flash objects tend to lag and stress an arseload of the CPU under OS X. Occasionally this game ends up stuttering...gah! Now I've got even more impetus to fix my other system!

I mean its easy early on, but when theres more then 6 things on the screen at once, the game just goes to shit. And its not my fault, since I've A+'d quite a few songs on keyboard stepmania.
seriously though whats "freeze mode"? Is it when the bar fills up on the right?

okay
so just as a test I played the games on 1x speed, and 1.5x speed.
Dear god it ran like a dream. There was 0 problems with the hit detection at all, unlike at 2x.
also, the only problem is that theres slight input lag.
i got past the part with holding the up button. weeee arent i so good with my A+'s in SM but F's in this game weeeeee
