I actually preferred FE8 due to the possibilities of training and the wider range of classes and customization, and storage was way easier to manage, having less risk of dumping valuable stuff. I could never beat FE7 due to me screwing up my character levels and being unable to train after that. FE7 was longer though, and its story was more compelling.

So... Yeah~  Calling main villain, if that's okay~

...If not, uh, one of the main characters, I dunno.

If Moerin's the main villain (and thus the Dark Druid) I wanna be the final boss Demon King/Great Dragon that he tries to summon at the end of the game. Calling it now, if that isn't a problem. :3

Otherwise, I would want be the complete monster villain that is part of the elite team of the main villain and who everyone despises. Every Fire Emblem has one. :V My class would be a high level Druid. 'Cuz dark magic rocks.

Well, yes, I assumed the characters will mainly have the skills of their class, and not their Iji-character (otherwise the game would start resemble Disgaea instead of Fire Emblem :V). I figured only the personalities and physical appearances would be carried over from Iji. The bosses need to be beatable of course.

If everyone had their abilities the character power levels would be like this:

Well, it was just a general example. A means to exemplify how unbalanced the game would be if everyone had their abilities. It isn't really thought out either. Just made on a whim.

Hmm? Last time I checked he had 'manipulation of psychology' or something like that. Last minute character change?

And well, since my character can copy everyone's abilities and a percentage of their powerlevel (including Purvis's), she'd never be far away from the top. Sure, he starts out as the most pathetic character of them all (not even having a human form at the start), but once she has everyone's powers she puts even Meta Knight to shame in sheer brokenness. Also note she can screw around with everyone's bodies from the inside. And my character doesn't have the word 'manipulation' in her ability.

Yup, I need to nerf her.

Also we should improve the EXP given from Staves in this.

About the plot, here's a summary of what we're considering(from IRC):
-Begins lighthearted, becomes srs bsns as time goes on
-Setting is medieval aka, swords, castles, etc.
-No Ijipowers or anything, just forum users FE style
-A fighting tournament set up as the "tutorial" mode of the game, with no perma-deaths, hosted by two countries
-The two nations are manipulated into war with each other by a third country(big bad with aims for world conquest)

I might've missed something so feel free to correct me :S

Finally got around to not being lazy and did some basic stats for me  :derp:

(F) Mage - Level 1
Base: 18/4/5/7/6/2/4
Growths: 50/40/60/45/55/15/35

Hopefully this isn't hideously broken or craptastic, but I don't -think- it is, anyways. (I could be wrong)

I looked into several utilities today. Nightmare seems like it can do most of what we need i'll just need to play with it when I have some more time.

I'll post some results of a test I did with it tomorrow.

Okay. So, as discussed on IRC, here are my stats.

Base:

Level: 1 HP: 23 Str: 9  Skl: 5  Spd: 7 Lck: 1 Def: 2  Res: 4

Growths:

HP: 65%  Str: 45%   Skl : 50%  Spd :  55%  Lck: 5% Def :  40%  Res: 40%

Promotion bonuses for custom class:

HP: +2 Str: +1  Skl: +3 Spd: +1 Lck: +0 Def: +2  Res: +1

Said custom class is gonna use swords, and promote to use Dragonstones, if things go according to plan. Don't worry, Dragonstone won't have insane stat bonuses xP

Details such as caps and class name still to be worked out.

Why? If the innate stats of a typical Dragonstone are too high, those can be edited, can't they? Mostly, I just want it because changing into a dragon is awesome, I don't really need it to be that high powered...

Any ideas for the countries names yet? Should they be MotK-inspired as well or original?

Also, it would probably be a good idea if the starting characters and overall main characters (both good and evil) were to be decided on before any story-writing takes place.

If the stats of the item can be edited, it could potentially be severely weakened so that even swords might be more powerful and accurate. Though that seems like overkill, since I don't see why avoiding the weapon triangle would be such a huge deal anyway. Um, yeah, it affects damage taken by one point, and accuracy by fifteen, but that's not really an insane amount. Lances will still remain more accurate than axes too, while axes will gain a little bit more power and accuracy back as well, opposed to if the character were using swords.

If switching back to a sword is an issue, then, well... I think Rikter mentioned it locking the unit out of using anything else if they can use Dragonstones when he was messing around with Nightmare. I would be willing to go with that happening on promotion.

1) These can be easily fixed via the FE7 Nightmare Modules
2) Nah, it's just ShiningDrake, and we can circumvent that if we have to
3) Dragonstones, again, can be edited/hacked to suit balance needs. Either that or we make enemies ridiculously tough - I know some hacks with early chapter enemies sporting 40+ HP and 15+ stats all across the board.

Priscilla's growths - 45/40/50/40/65/15/50
Priscilla's Lv3 bases - 16/6/6/8/7/3/6
Mine - 60/40/40/60/60/10/30
Mine (Lv3) - 15/4/6/8/8/2/6

Early bases are fairly similar, but the growths are vastly different - mine's going to hit the speed cap very fast if you're not unlucky, is more evasive, but has less raw durability than Priscilla (higher HP, but less DEF, it is Mage-level), hard as it is to believe. Also, lower STR and SKL. Shitty self-insert does have the added bonus of being able to double fairly late and has a decent LUK stat, average of 27~ 29/30.

Of course this can be adjusted depending on how we balance enemies
