Defeated Baldren with a Scout.lolwut
I'm so happy I can die right now.
Defeated Baldren with a Scout. It had better of been Selvaria with the DLC weapon from behind or I'm calling bull. ...Unless of course this was a 'more than one character used' thing and it was just a scout dealing the final blow...

"RNG based awesome"
Does getting a total of 15 PLatinum Ingots(10%), 2 Trapzehoedrons (5%) and 3 Dark Matters (5% I think). All in a row in FFXIII, count as RNG based awesome? -shot
Chapter 5x: n. The reveal of the fact that Ephraim is God....I will keep that in mind when I play that chapter. XD I was just gonna Arena Abuse everyone, but this is a very nice shortcut. =3
Translation: I just cleared out the entirety of Chapter 5x in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones using Ephraim, which is when he's first introduced. He went straight from level 4 to level 13.
Then make sure you take Eiriel's route or whatever her name is, or else she's liable to get screwed over by the RNG when she gets auto-leveled up to make up for the split routes.
Also Gilliam. Gilliam is a physical god. You could potentially beat the entire game with just him alone.
Then make sure you take Eiriel's route or whatever her name is, or else she's liable to get screwed over by the RNG when she gets auto-leveled up to make up for the split routes. It's Eirika and I'm not taking her route because I can't reach Amelia on her first map that easily. =< I'm using Arena Abuse too so... :V

>_> Why are PegKnights so fragile? To make up for the fact that Low Turn play in FE games makes them the best units you can have.
To make up for the fact that Low Turn play in FE games makes them the best units you can have.Max-efficiency runs don't TRAIN your Peg Knights, though.
To make up for the fact that Low Turn play in FE games makes them the best units you can have.Good point.
Also: Seth. Do it.
Also, FE8 isn't a difficult game to solo thanks to Tower abuse...FE8 is pretty easy in general from what I heard. Just remove the character permadeath and weapon durability and you have something that resembles a very broken FFTA. I still wanna play it, darnit.
FE8 is pretty easy in general from what I heard. Just remove the character permadeath and weapon durability and you have something that resembles a very broken FFTA. I still wanna play it, darnit. It's impossible for a game to be more broken than FFTA and still be playable.
...I never want to see it in a No Tower run again. NEVER! Which means that I will never No Tower run Ephraim's route in Hard mode, but OH FREAKING WELLNo Tower is the only way I played FE8 the last couple times I went through it. Honestly.
No Tower is the only way I played FE8 the last couple times I went through it. Honestly.I thought you could only get A-support with one character per unit, tho.
...Mostly because I used the tower afterwards to spam supports to do the impossible and rack up 100% Supports.
I thought you could only get A-support with one character per unit, tho.Step 1: Don't get any supports at all during the main game, or at least until you have all characters.
Why are PegKnights so fragile?
Because promoted PegKnights can wreck an entire map by themselves, provided you play safe and keep them away from Archers.I'll keep those in mind, then. ^_^
Seriously, high natural crit, ridiculous mdef, spears and swords, full maneuverability, and loads of speed? The only thing better is promoted Wyvern Riders, because they have massive regular defense and buckets of HP to toss around.
Wanna know what's fairly fun? Doing an all-mounted-unit run. Only Troubadours, Peg/Wyvern Riders, Calvary, and the like. And of course the Lords, cuz they magically sprout a horse from their crotch upon promotion (and Ephraim is a living God)
I'll keep those in mind, then. ^_^
Not so much of an RNG moment as much as an accomplishment, but I FINALLY finished Lyn's story and now I'm in Eliwood's story, Ch14.
What level did you get Nils up to before finishing Lyn's story? If you play through on Hard Mode for Lyn, and gain control immediately and whatnot instead of dealing with 'NO YOU HAVE TO GO HERE OR I'LL MELT YOUR GAME CARTRIDGE', and you can get Nils up over level 7, you unlock a bonus chapter later on... though I'm not sure if that's Hector's mode only or not :ohdear:It's Hector only, sadly.
Either way, Nils and Ninian are seriously amazing characters to use, especially with their bonus stat skills.
(Also if you go through Lyn Hard, power level one of the Cavaliers and use the Knight Crest on them! Wallace isn't that great anyways, not compared to Oswin - even IF you max him out (somehow) in the tutorial and promote him at level 20)
Damn dude, you really made yourself worthy of the GAR in your name.
Makes me proud to be a member of this site.
BOOYEAH.
I've beaten Mega Man Network Transmission in 1 hour 37 minutes (1 hour 41 minutes would be the official timing since manual timing for the final stage goes until no more input is required and there's some after-credits dialogue; but I landed the final blow at the 1:37 mark).
This isn't necessarily that long of a game - it is a Mega Man game afterall - but with all of the deaths and the fact that the game rewards players for going halfway into stages, retreating when they run low on lives, and then coming back later with the new chips, bought items, etc., and so there's no reason to accept (or ever recieve!) a game over... yeah, most people finish this game their first time with a total time of about 5 hours, with 3 hours being a relatively good one.
Right now I'm looking back and going "Hey that was... relatively painless compared to my expectations!", except my next job is to learn the game well enough to
A) do this faster (That 1:37 time includes several deaths, unnecessary actions, etc., that easily mean there's over 10 minutes to shave off of this time)
B) I also want to do it single-segment, meaning no saving. This could be horrifying due to a bit of the luck I need for draws in the Zero Account and Undernet...
But for now? So far as I know, I am the first person to have speedrun Network Transmission from start to finish.
But for now? So far as I know, I am the first person to have speedrun Network Transmission from start to finish.Start recording and submit a better run to SDA.
Start recording and submit a better run to SDA.This is actually my plan. Even if I don't, I've been in contact with another runner who's wanting to do this (My suspicion is that he'll be tackling a Segmented run, and I'll be doing a single-segment).
Anything's possible if you're GAR enough.
And with you, it may just work!
It's a reference on the fact that he has GAR in his username.
Whoa what. People speedrun that shit? They speedrun RPGs (http://speeddemosarchive.com/SkiesOfArcadia.html) too. Click the link, it was just added the other day. My life is complete. ^_^

Hey wanna know a fun fact?Awesome, I look forward to what you guys put up. ^_^ Maybe you could speedrun some other Megaman games, too?
That run was done by the guy who I am co-operating with/competing against for Network Transmission speedrunning.
Awesome, I look forward to what you guys put up. ^_^ Maybe you could speedrun some other Megaman games, too?We could but I think other people have already speedrun all the other MM games much better than I, at least, could ever hope to do. I do want to speedrun other games, too (I may or may not do at least one of the Growlanser Generations games following this; we'll have to see!)
I beat Elite Beat Agents on Hard Rock.
I don't know if this qualifies as awesome as far as this topic goes but it's pretty awesome for me. Jumpin' Jack Flash took 3 freaking hours. By the end of it, I was aware that my hand was sometimes heading towards the next note before my eye saw it.
I obsessed over that game enough to get an accumulate score of 102, 000, 000.

Congrats! JJF on Hard Rock is a really hard song when you get around to it! I think it's harder than Ouendan 1's final song.Yeah, Ready Steady Go wasn't necessarily all that hard.
I almost got a total score of 200,000,000 in Ouendan 2.How is that a colonveeplusalpha?

FUCK YEAH DEVILJHORelated, I killed Rathalos with a GS lvl3 charge to the face while he did one of those flying charges towards me.
KICKED YOUR ASS WITH A LANCE
Death of a thousand pokes! Well, okay, I charged at it a few times. BUT STILL
I've actually used the lance charge and hooked myself into a monster so I kept hitting it while running against it, not going anywhere. So long as the stamina holds out, you keep stacking damage.This. If you can do that against a monster, the lance becomes possibly the most powerful weapon in the game; it's just extremely reckless and likely to backfire if doing it on a monster that hasn't been knocked prone.
Also, the thrust attack after a charge is the single most damaging lance attack.
Supposedly, the best defense is a good offense.
Protoss
Playing League of Legends, my first time against humans with Sivir, I got a double kill. It was the end of the game and I was LV18 and was hitting doing 179 damage at 1.76 attacks per second. And we all pushed to the enemy Nexus, I berserked and started lobing my boomerang and they started running at us. And somehow my random clicking managed to catch two enemies.
Also since the berserk is an area thing, the minions and two of my teammates were berserked and the Nexus fell quick.
And it's not really Berserking, but I forgot what the skill really is called and Berserking is close enough to what happens.
I have been getting critical captures on everything in Pokemon White lately. It's pretty awesome. Nothing like that dramatic *WHIZZZZZZ* as the Pokeball zooms onto the screen to let you know AW YEAH I GOTCHA NOW
Critical captures? In B/W, you have a very small chance of getting a special capture animation triggered - the sounds are different, the ball literally zooms across to them, and then only shakes once before capturing.
In Generation V, there is a chance of a critical capture, where the Pok? Ball will only shake once, thus providing a higher catch ratio. When a critical capture occurs, the Pok? Ball will pause in mid-air and make a metal noise. Critical captures rarely fail and will almost always capture the Pok?mon. Critical captures occur about as often as Critical hits, making them quite rare, however even with such a small chance of occurring, a critical capture still presents a massive boost to the overall chance of capture for Pok?mon with a catch rate of 3, who may have odds as low as .4%.
In B/W, you have a very small chance of getting a special capture animation triggered - the sounds are different, the ball literally zooms across to them, and then only shakes once before capturing.....wow, I had no idea it was that low, seeing as how I've gotten like six of them so far.
I think it's a flat 1% chance or something.
It's official. The MegaTen series/universe(s) is simply made of some sort of concentrated awesome. Finally started playing Devil Summoner (first PS2 one). You're gonna like the second one when you play it, then. ;P
What do I get introduced to? Badass motherfucking detective/devil summoner with a bitching cape and nice hat who takes on DEMONS with a sword and pistol!
Bahahahahaha! It works in a proper way again!
(it being my PS2)
Stumbled upon and downloaded this fun MMO shooter called MicroVolts. Graphically it looks a bit like TF2, but I haven't played TF2, so...
It also has Haruhi Suzumiya! :D
Oh, you mean the korean TF2 ripoff game? I didn't know it was being released over here.Yes. It's quite fun, so you should give the game a chance.
Speaking of LoL (a few posts ago), Lux is free this week, which is great cause I wanted to play as her. I went against bots to try and learn her. Had Annie and Miss Fortune against us. Learned a little bit in to set back and shield everyone. And then I gotMaster SparkFinales Funkeln. We started pushing up the middle. I killed Annie and Nexus at the same time! At least I think I did. I killed Annie with it, but not sure if it was just awesome timing or what, but the Nexus fell right after her.
That's the first time I've really pulled off an Axtinguisher rampage. 10 kills with the thing before a demo took me down. Followed by a 5-kill soldier life and a 9-kill demo.
Why don't I always play like this?
Sonic Colors' challenge mode complete in 83 minutes.Do it faster. FASTER. Speedcapture that SoB.
...I wasn't even trying that hard?
Pokemon White, up againstGhestis. My team is getting utterly rolled, and I'm down to my last, Vanilluxe. It would take a miracle to not lose here.
The miracle happens. Fire Blast misses. I promptly strike back with Ice Beam, taking out Hydreigon and paving the way for a comeback

Did you nickname it Cirno?Sorry, it's named Hee-ho as a Megami Tensei reference. I don't think the Vanill* series is quite fairy-like enough
Reminds me of a DnD quest a couple of years back. I played a pseudo-katana (read: bastard sword) fighter, our party is running around the walls of a citadel and generally looking for a way in when we met a squad of patrollers. The corridor was single-file only and our cleric was tanking things up front, when my fighter decides to screw it all and leap-charge through a corner, sheer 40-feet drop be damned. So I rolled Jump, got a decent number, and rolled a 20 on the attack roll. After that, I got a 10 on the damage roll. The DM said "Whoa, cool." and decided to just double that damage instead rolling a second time since my fighter just sailed through 20 feet of chasm and splitted a patrol in two vertically.
In a word...HELL FSCKING YES IT DID! I didn't think to use it during the final battle, but it was very helpful in pretty much annihilating every other minor enemy in my path. Forget the Triangle-Circle juggle, I never bothered with it. I just mashed Square and watched torsos and heads fly off. =3
It's such a gratifying weapon to use, isn't it? It also prepares you for the final battle, because the giant statue blade uses the same controls, sans charging ability.Too bad Ares is vulnerable for like two seconds during that part of the battle.
Beat Half-Life 2 Episode 1 to get the achievement The One Free Bullet. In order to get it, you have to go through a few solid hours of gameplay with using only the gravity gun and explosives. The one free bullet refers to the one you use to shoot the padlock off of the door just after you get the pistol.
Similar scene here, except my Vanilluxe actually tanked the freaking Fire Blast. I was elated.brb raising my vanillite
Alsobrb raising my vanillite
Would he stop jumping into that generator all the time? That is a very cheap move.He can only do it once per battle as far as I know. Plus, since you're Bass, you can just fire straight up at the charger thingies instead of needing to use the platforms. It does suck when he does the lightning ball attack beforehand, though.
Beating Shadow Complex with 3% of the items.Videos or it didn't happen.
It was the greatest thing I have ever done in any video game ever.
Videos or it didn't happen.Brb going back in time by about a year :V
If it's not a Hellfire SMG, you're doing it wrong.Heck yeah. Orange rarity. No ammo regen?! It must be crap!
Who are you playing as?
