It's more or less entirely or not entirely based on the Touhou series.
Except it's strictly boss rush.

Original engine by me on Game Maker 6.1.
It's kinda the easy way on making games. I don't know how to program anything else.

Neat, boss rush in Touhou. What a coincidence, this game I'm making for my friend is like that, too.

Why, thank you. This has, actually been on and off production for the last 3 quarts of a year.
It wasn't until about January that I decided to make it have a boss in it. That made production real fun so I worked on it some more :V
And it wasn't Touhou until last week.
And until yesterday, Nategasa would be the only boss and she would have 50 life bars.

Seriously, fifty. The star icons span exactly the full length of the health bar with exactly fifty lives.
Okay, so it's really 49 but the 0th life counts too -w-
I'm thinking of "As Long As It Sounds Foreign" (TvTrope it!) names for the next few people. I'll gladly take ideas for some, and give credit of course.
Maybe the final boss will really have 49 stars. It depends on how evil I'm feeling when I get there D:

ironically, I just developed a dodging AI, so I could make Boss Rush in Danmakufu.

O.o Erp. Um. :ohdear: I think there's a bit of confusion here over the meaning of the phrase "Boss Rush"
OP's intended meaning:
-A mode of playing wherin there are no stage portions, merely rushing from one boss to the next.
What most some people are reading it as:
-A mode of playing where you are the boss, as demonstrated in that one flash game (http://paperdino.com/games/boss-rush/).

**MY COMPUTER IS A PIECE OF CRAP**
The game will be running at 18 FPS in the video. That's because my computer cannot handle a recording software and a game with hundreds of objects (the Object counter in the lower left) at one time.
For full speed, imagine the game running roughly three and a half times faster than this.

Oh hey, someone else uses Game Maker. Approx. how many bullets or objects can your computer hold while still at 60 FPS?

It depends. Mostly, *as long as I'm not recording*, I can stand 700~900 bullets without lag.
So I'll try not to push it.

I figure that since I'm not one to waste, I'll just use this topic to show off any sort of danmaku I'm screwing around with.
The last project died along with my old computer. I have since learned to back up everything.

IF you see one you're particularly interested in, than I can prolly "gameplay-ize" it, like add a character and stuff and let you play with it.
Unlike Danmakufu, this requires me to export it to .exe though, and jsyk the patterns will start as soon as the window is pulled up.
