Did you read Mistborn? (as I am currently reading it now and being a person who is not quickly interested by books, this one got me good for now)
When Robert Jordan passed away, his wife announced that fellow author and family friend Brandon Sanderson would finish the Wheel of Time series. Having been a huge fan of WoT, I wanted to learn more about the man who would finish it, and someone recommended Mistborn to me. I devoured the trilogy whole, loved it to death, and now Sanderson's easily one of my favorite authors. And it has a sidestory coming out soon!
How come your avatar has Sabre riding a lion and eating its balls?
Because Japan.
You seem to be more of a stalker type on IRC rather than chatting one. Is this a part of your secret governmental spying tasks?
I'm just not very talkative on the internet. <_< I read chat logs way more than I contribute.
Your favourite Touhou girl... and why (I won't take "she is cute/nice/ze" for an answer).
Not sure if I have an overall favorite. Maybe Keine, if I had to pick one? I like that she's a schoolteacher, which appears to be somewhat unique in Gensokyo and gives her opportunities that the other girls probably wouldn't have, and she hangs out with Mokou (another favorite). I also like Reimu (sarcastic world-weary money-grubbing miko with indisputable charisma), Suika (great design, hilarious alcoholic STRONGLOLIGIANT antics), and several others.
And finally, an important serious question: Breast man or Ass man.
Both. :|
What was the last major event to change your life for the better?
Bought a new car last year, that's probably the closest thing.
Name three people from history, living or dead, that you'd have dinner with and why.
Einstein would interest me greatly. I'd love to talk with him about current events, the Internet, and the like. Whether or not it's true I have this image of him in my head as a really great conversationalist.
Assuming language is no barrier, any notable scholar at the height of Roman civilization. So much knowledge was lost from that time, and it'd be interesting to have a taste of what life really was like two thousand years ago. (Blowing his mind with smartphones would be fun too.)
If I think of any more specific folks I'll let you know. Maybe Thomas Jefferson.
Are you close with your family?
I wouldn't say I'm close, but I'm not really separated either. I love and respect my family, but they have their own lives to lead - as do I.
Top five countries you'd want to visit next - go!
In no particular order: Japan, South Korea, the UK, Sweden, South Africa.
