I thought my life needed more insane today, so I decided to watch Eurovision clips. I kinda wish America had something like this, but at the same time, I'm happy that we're not putting our lunacy on display the way Europe does every year.

Anyone else watch Eurovision and has crazy videos to share? :derp:

OH MY GOD!!!

This is the best Eurovision has ever done. Seriously, this is exactly the video I would post as an example of what Eurovision is all about. The camp, the awfulness, the earworming. Everyone here hates it, and everyone watches it every year, under the guise of a party.

I still don't know why they sing several parts of that "song" in pseudo-German.

Also, there was only one year where I cared about Eurovision even the least bit, and that year saw, with one of the largest wins the contest ever had, an unsuprising win for the lone favorite anybody could have had in the whole history of the contest ever.

From here on, I will start watching it again if and only if Germany decides to use Blind Guardian for their musician that year.

What gets me is that apparently, common Europeans are so much better at dancing than their nations' selected performers. Why is this?

Anyway, watching more 2009 videos, I remember really wishing Estonia had won, but now, I'm much more partial to Ireland's performance.
