Basically, the "choose file to upload" button is grayed out. Might have something to do with the file structure.

Why not? Do you want your appreciation for their profile to be openly visible to everyone? In that case you could just post about it in the cpmc talk thread or something. Now, your comment will get flushed away quickly, but people only rarely stick to their precise profile for that long.

I don't really see much of a point to this.

How about a Trash Bin board to move the threads locked for whatever reason?

This way the  boards won't be as crowded with non-worthwhile stuff.

We have a trash bin, but it's not for locked topics unless we think it warrants deletion.

I've been looking into improvements on the WAP interface but it's really temperamental and I have to keep it compatible with the weakest of phone browsers.

How about a bullet reading thread.
Someone posts a pic of a bullet pattern in touhou.
And the people who know the pattern can say how they would read it/ move through it.
It'll give the newbies and the pros a different view on how other people play.
