Experimental scorerun. Only stage 1 and early stage 2 were routed (and I haven't learned the stage 3 boss yet so it was full of bombing, yes I know I bomb-spammed a stage 3 Normal boss). Also not sure if I know all the mechanics yet-- in particular, I haven't found any function for graze.

Some random notes:
- Any 5 beast items will give a hyper; 3 of a wolf/otter/eagle gives a special hyper. (3+ of anything else doesn't seem to have any special effect.)
- 4 or 5 of a wolf/otter/eagle increases the hyper's duration. The hyper matching your beast subweapon is powered up, and also has increased duration I think?
- Shooting enemies during any hyper (including a generic hyper with no 3-of-a-kind) gives PIV.
- Canceled bullets give PIV if from finishing a spell, or from otter hyper, but not from bombing.
- If a 1up/bomb/power/point beast item is used for a hyper, the actual item(s) will spawn at the end of the hyper. If one is collected mid-hyper, the item(s) will spawn immediately.
- 1up/bomb beast items only give a single life/bomb part, regardless of whether the hyper was a success or failure.
- If a beast item is collected mid-hyper, some hyper duration is restored. (Not sure if this is actually useful compared to waiting out the hyper for the 2 free beast items. It does let you not worry about needing to match another 3-of-a-kind, at least?)
- Dying gives you 2 beast items of the type matching your subweapon. Unlike normal beast items, the death-generated beast items don't change color over time. (This is why I chose otter, so that I could route in deaths for more otter hypers later.)
- The 2 beast items (or 5 if a special midboss beast item was part of the hyper) dropped after timing out a hyper seem to start at a random color. The set of 5 varies by midboss:
    - midboss 1 (squid item, don't kill any spirits that spawn during the midboss): 1 life part, 4 normal beasts
    - midboss 2 (cow item, stay close to the midboss??): 1 life part, 1 bomb part, 3 normal beasts
    - midboss 3 (chick in egg item, defeat using an otter hyper): 1 life part, 2 bomb parts, power, point

Thoughts on the game: It has a neat mechanic. If you can get past the really bad bullet/background blending colors that are present in some parts, it's an alright survival-game. Scoring is looking very bad though.

Like in HSiFS, at max power all power items act like point items; I don't think it's worth suiciding for extra tokens in a 3-stage scorerun, though routes will likely want to be more PiV focused when the full game comes out.
Also I bring 14 tokens into the Stage 3 boss fight, and avoiding all of them while trying to stay a set distance away from the boss is quite painful. At least we're using Reimu, I can't even begin to imagine using other shottypes.

Apart from an Eagle pickup in stage 1 and an accidental otter hyper in stage 3, I don't know how much further I can push the score with this route.
I might be completely wrong in going for 5-Otter hypers, but until the royalflare scoreboards are up I won't know.

I've attached an additional replay that just shows stage 1 in case anyone wants to know what my route was. The run itself is probably the cleanest run I've done so far in this game. There are some minor mistakes, but there's always something going wrong when scoring this game, and usually worse things happen.

My main takeaway from scoring easy is that you shouldn't underestimate how much PIV you get just from shooting with an otter or non-special hyper. It does depend on what character you're using and what power level you're at, however. Youmu-Eagle's unfocused shot deals a lot of damage and gets a lot of PIV if all of her option shots are hitting, so she seems pretty good on easy and normal even without the longer otter hypers. Youmu-Wolf and Youmu-Otter, in comparison, don't really get much PIV from shooting. Another thing to know is that Youmu's eagle hyper gives a lot of PIV if you pointblank, so it's a bit better than otter in some cases but harder to use. Other than YoumuE, MarisaO seems pretty good for scoring too, though she's not that good at killing stage enemies.

I like how the full-game turned out in terms of patterns, visibility problems aside. Scoring is still obnoxious and bad though, but in terms of survival I'd say this is one of the better recent games. I found the Extra Stage particularly fun. In this replay I didn't know the hidden token requirements past Stage 3 (but did get Stage 5 requirement by accident). If what I was told is all correct, then this is the rundown of all hidden token requirements:

Full game turned out to be very interesting, I especially like the late-game patterns and soundtracks. Boss designs and background aesthetics are very pleasing too.

Though, Normal difficulty is absolutely wrecking me this time around, particularly the 5th boss. Her spells are hellish.
So, have some rusty Easy scores first whilst I try to get a grip on a proper Normal 1cc.

Barely got the 2b goal I set very early on. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement with better token management and actually shooting down bosses with the hyper active instead of timing out, but I believe I have a decent-ish route apart from Mayumi.

It might be worth it to milk Mayumi's spells for items but I really couldn't be bothered to deal with those stupidly tanky enemies for a handful of items at best.

It may be worth it to suicide in stage 2 because Urumi's nonspells are very profitable for PiV.
Ideally you'd just bombspam in stage 6 to collect items but I was hesitant and I knew I wouldn't be able to manage all the tokens I could bring into the fight. If I could though, that may cut out a couple of suicides on the laser spell for more efficient milking.

The last two spells swarm you with tokens on Easy, it's actually ridiculous.

Trying to develop cheesing strats in this game has proven to be quite fun to me. Though, this run is still full of dumb mistakes of me trying to cheese patterns when the boss' firing range occupies more than just the boss herself, leading to a hyper cancel with zero gain. Particular case being Mayumi's midboss nonspell in stage 6.

Also trying to get all secret tokens in a single run, some of which I'm still losing to aforementioned mistakes.
