I really did not get a South Park vibe from this show. The short absurd bits format reminds me more of Nichijou, only without any tenderness whatsoever. Beyond that and the heavy emphasis on satire of anime and video games, I don't know how I'd describe this show. But I love it.

This show actually got me interested in anime again after something like four years of ignoring it. Now I'm going through old bookmarks to see what else is good this season.

I think Robot Chicken would be a more apt comparison.  Both are similar in their use of rapid fire sketches and short length of a full episode.

I agree. The first four episodes had a few bits that made me chuckle, but the rest was...Eh. Then again, I was still in shock by the sheer troll value of the first episode. I want that idol series to be real, darnit!

I'm ok with this. Even moreso if one of them makes a magical girl/mecha musume variant of the show. (is quite into Symphogear)

Well. That last episode went places.

It seemed the quality of the jokes dipped after the first 4 episodes, but 11 and 12 were really strong. I feel like the "genre parody shorts" took up too much of the episodes when it seemed like the show was at its best with the rapid-fire sketch comedy?
