ReplayI originally just wanted to get scores with all the characters just to fill up the empty score boards. K・G?s run didn't look that good though, so I put in some extra effort and beat it. This run could be better (stage 4 did not go smoothly), but I guess I'm satisfied overall. I haven't calculated, but I think 910M+ should be feasible, in case anyone wants to try and beat this.
A particularly weird trick I discovered is that if you bomb Benben's midboss laser nonspell in a particular way, you can get up to 1000 extra PIV per bomb. It's a bit hard to time it optimally, but I can usually get 800 extra PIV per bomb. I failed the third bomb in this run though by being too close to Benben. I have absolutely no idea why this trick works. It does not make any sense to me. So it's possible that there are better ways to take advantage of it. I don't know if this is useful on Hard or Lunatic, but I imagine it can help bump up the Easy world record a bit more.
I found something similar with ReimuA on Benben's boss nonspells, though the timing is different. At the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to capitalize on this. ReimuA Benben bombing is surprisingly tricky to optimize even without my secret techniques, so adding extra timing shenanigans on top of that makes it rather difficult. But it's worth quite a lot. I wonder if I can get 1.1 billion with this.
I actually got this run on April Fools, but I couldn't think of a good way to turn it into a joke.
