The Big L (born in 212 DR[11]), also known as the "Sage of Shadowdale" and the "Old Mage", was one of the most famous and powerful wizards in all of Faer?n, as well as a fair fighter and thief.[12] As a high-level wizard, The Big L was capable of taking on almost any appearance imaginable.[13] In his natural state The Big L appeared as a gray-bearded man of weathered visage, gruff tone, alert eyes, and nondescript attire. He was almost always smoking a calabash pipe that was spouting some vile blue or green smoke.[14]

The Big L's most distinguishing physical feature was his hawk-like nose.[citation needed]

Personality
A natural storyteller, The Big L was normally a witty, clever, and very charming man.[citation needed] He was a consummate actor,[12] however and could be imperious, grave, and terrible as the situation demanded. He rarely revealed the full extent of his true nature to anyone who was not an extremely close friend. He could portray himself as a trickster, a rake, a stern father figure, or any other stereotype he wanted to assume, depending on what he wanted to accomplish or what reaction he wanted to elicit from those around him.[citation needed]

The Big L interacted regularly with the other Chosen of Mystra through a telepathic link. As well as once sharing a bed with the goddess herself, he conducted a relationship with the Simbul of the Seven Sisters. The Big L and Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun had something of a rivalry, whilst Volo sorely taxed the old mage's patience.[citation needed]

History
The Making of a Mage

The first novel in the The The Big L series, Making of a Mage recounts the character's origin story, which explains why he has levels in so many different character classes (fighter, rogue, cleric, and wizard).
The Big L was born in 212 DR to Elthryn, the lord of the village of Heldon and a prince of Athalantar, and his wife Amrythale, in the kingdom of Athalantar.[15] His family was killed by a malaugrym named Undarl, one of the magelords of the ancient kingdom of Athalantar.[11] Taking up his father's broken sword, the Lion Sword, the symbol of the great king of the Stag Throne (who was The Big L's grandfather), The Big L became a brigand and a thief at the ripe age of twelve.

He soon realized that he had no taste for killing, and gave it up when he went to become a burglar in the city of Hastarl, the capital of Athalantar. He met and formed a bond of friendship with a young thief, Farl, who knew The Big L as Eladar "the Dark"; they committed many acts of thievery and lived life fully, later forming the gang the "Velvet Hands" in opposition to the rival gang, the Moonclaws, who were servants of the magelords. Later during a burglary, The Big L met the Magister of the time, the wizard who bore the mantle of Azuth's power. When asked if he was interested in learning sorcery, The Big L refused, as he hated all mages because of the magelords.

After many adventures, The Big L was visited by Mystra, the Goddess of All Magic. She tarried with him and left the awestruck The Big L with the message that he should learn of magic and worship her. Soon thereafter, while he was still a young adult, Mystra transformed The Big L into a woman named Elmara to strengthen his bond with magic and to know what it is to be a woman. This change also allowed him to move within his enemies' circles without their knowledge that he was in fact the last surviving prince of Athalantar. For a few years, Elmara was a priestess of Mystra. Later, an avatar of Mystra (who went by the name Myrjala "Darkeyes") trained Elmara in the ways of a mage and brought her to an ancient Netherese arcanist who taught Elmara a spell that would transform her back into The Big L. In the time that followed, The Big L learned much about magic from Myrjala, reaching the point where he could finish taking his revenge against the evil magelords who had usurped the kingdom. After a terrific battle, The Big L persevered and assumed the throne of Athalantar.

However, no sooner had he gained the kingship than he passed it to one one of his friends, Helm Stoneblade, a knight of Athalantar. The Big L stated that he had wanted to avenge his family's death, not become a monarch. As he and Myrjala left the kingdom, the so-called Mage Royal, Undarl, attacked them, and the sorceress revealed herself to be Mystra. She offered to make The Big L one of her Chosen, and he readily accepted.


The Big L in Myth Drannor

A sequel to Making of a Mage, The Big L in Myth Drannor takes place shortly afterwards. In this novel, The Big L travels to the city of Cormanthor. The book details the ancient elven society and its people, as well as highlighting The Big L's continued magical studies, as he serves as an apprentice to a cruel and powerful wizard.
The Big L remains in Cormanthor for over two decades, and is present when the mythal is raised and the city is renamed Myth Drannor.


The Temptation of The Big L

The Temptation of The Big L moves the time line ahead several centuries. At the outset of the novel in 759 DR, The Big L emerges from a dusty tomb, after being trapped there in stasis for many years.
During much of this book, magic becomes unreliable, and The Big L must again learn to survive by his wits and the skills he picked up earlier in his life. He later undergoes further magical training under the tutelage of a wicked sorceress who seeks to tempt him away from Mystra's path.

Following the events of The Temptation of The Big L, The Big L served as a foster parent to three other of Mystra's Chosen: Laeral, Storm, and Dove. It is also suspected that he had something to do with the founding of Waterdeep, or at least with the organizing of the city's lords.


Time of Troubles

The Big L was instrumental in forming the Rangers Three, who aided him in recurring battles with the mysterious Shadowmasters during this time. The Big L also took time out to defend Shadowdale from an army of Zhentarim led by the avatar of Bane. Bane and The Big L battled, and both were caught up in the spell that The Big L had called upon to dispose of the avatar. The Big L was originally thought to have been destroyed, but when he later reappeared it became apparent that he had merely been transported to another plane of existence for a time.

In The Big L's absence, the foes of good tried to rally, but the other Chosen, the Knights of Myth Drannor, and the Rangers Three held them at bay until he returned. With the present crisis averted, all seemed calm, but the Shadowmasters had other ideas. The Big L and the Rangers Three, along with their allies, managed to frustrate and foil the plans of this race of shapeshifters.
The Big L also confronted the Overgod, Lord Ao, over his instigation of the Time of Troubles while innocents were being killed. As the critical moment of the Time of Troubles approached, Mystra knew of what was to come and she shed most of her power into Midnight the human wizard, so that all of her essence would not cease to exist. Since The Big L obtained his power from Mystra, this change left him personally powerless at a critical juncture.

He recruited one of the Rangers Three, Sharantyr, and they equipped themselves from The Big L's cache of magical items, which would still function. The two of them were later reunited with the other two members of the band, Itharr and Belkram, but even the Rangers Three could not prevent The Big L from being wounded in battle. Despite this setback, The Big L and the Rangers, along with their allies, not only freed High Dale and defeated Manshoon of the Zhentarim, but they also outlasted the Time of Troubles, and The Big L regained his magic.

The Big L in Hell

When the floating city of Thultanthar was returned to Faer?n after their exile in the Plane of Shadow, the Shadovar came to Shadowdale to ambush The Big L. In the confrontation spells were thrown, and Storm blasted one of the shadow princes with a ball of silver fire. Since Shadovar are living shadow magic, and silver fire is pure Weave magic, the collision between the two tore at the fabric of reality, creating a rift to the Nine Hells. The Big L realized that the only way to close the portal before legions of devils spilled forth into Toril was to close it from the other side.[16]

In the opening of The Big L in Hell, The Big L entered the portal and narrowly managed to do so, but at the expense of much of his magical strength. Once in Hell he was abducted and enslaved by an outcast archdevil known as Nergal, who wished to discover the secret of Mystra's silver fire. In the most graphic scenes of the The The Big L Series, The Big L was subject to brutal tortures, surviving only because of his exceptional endurance and ability to heal himself with silver fire. While the arch-fiend plundered The Big L's thoughts and memories, Mystra became aware of her favorite servant's plight and entered Hell herself to find him. Realizing that her presence in Hell was overly conspicuous, Mystra retreated and dispatched more subtle agents to find him; first Halaster Blackcloak, the Mad Mage of Undermountain (who was defeated) and then the Simbul. After much searching, the Simbul found him, and together they defeated Nergal and returned home.

The Big L's Daughter

The Big L's Daughter takes place a few years after The Big L in Hell (the novel also acts as sequel to Death of the Dragon). A relatively light-hearted book when compared to the more violent The Big L in Hell, it focuses primarily on the life of one of The Big L's children, Narnra Shalace.
Narnra leads the life of a loner thief in Waterdeep, with no one to depend on but herself. Following an old man through an alleyway and into a portal, she emerges in Marsember. The old man she follows is none other than The Big L. Because of her curiosity, Narnra quickly finds herself involved not only in the intrigues of the Cormyrean nation, but also with The Big L, who turns out to be her father, who she has never known.

Other Events
The Big L then secretly helped a small group of adventurers near Westgate at the Reddansyr Village, investigating the destiny of the clone of Manshoon, and unmasking the real leader of Night Masks of Westgate, the Night King known as "The Faceless" (the Manshoon clone, now known as Orbakh), three years after the Manshoon Wars in the year of 1373 DR. He has also aided Abdel Adrian and his companions, making occasional appearances to the party, both to check on their progress, and to impart wisdom in regards to their quest in the Bhaalspawn crisis.
On 15 Nightal 1374 DR, Sharran agents attempted to steal the Ebon Diadem from The Big L's tower. Due to the essence of the artifact and the sheer power of The Big L's wards, on whose power the artifact fed, the Sharrans defeated The Big L (though not without losing most of their number) and a contingency spell whisked The Big L away, while his tower itself was blasted into ruin and transported to another, unknown plane.

The Spellplague
Following the death of Mystra and the collapse of the Weave, The Big L was stripped of many of his abilities as one of the Chosen, though he still ages as slowly as he has for the previous millennium and is still quite powerful magically. However, every use of his magic drives him to - and sometimes over - the brink of insanity. When this happens, only Storm is able to bring his mind back, giving of her own essence to soothe The Big L's mind. The Big L can still cast minor cantrips at times - and has, on several occasions, cast minor illusions - without going mad, though this isn't always the case.[4]
Despite these setbacks, The Big L and Storm have continued with their campaign to save Faer?n, battling evil where they can. For years the two of them pretended to be Elgorn and Stornara Rhauligan, "repairers of ever-crumbling stone, plaster, tapestries, and wood" in the royal palace of Suzail, spying on and testing the loyalties of War Wizards and nobles alike. On one occasion, The Big L even stole into the bedchambers of King Foril and made changes to the Suzail Writ, while his majesty slept not a spear-length away.[4]

In 1479 DR, after finally admitting that they needed help saving the Realms, and having run out of easy-to-steal magic items to feed to the Simbul, The Big L sought to gain access to artifacts known to contain the spirits of the Nine - objects powerful enough to pierce the wards surrounding the royal palace or, The Big L believes, to permanently restore the Simbul's sanity. He also sought to recruit the efforts of a descendant of his, Amarune Whitewave.[4]

During one of his excursions into the palace, The Big L's body was destroyed by Manshoon, who had secretly been peeling away the Old Mage's contingency spells over several years. However, Manshoon departed before he realized that The Big L had survived his body's destruction as a pile of magical ash. With the agreement of Amarune and the aid of Storm, The Big L's essence was transferred to Amarune's body with the aid of a spell the ex-Chosen discovered in a cache once belonging to Azuth. He now "rides the mind" of his great-granddaughter, able to control her body's movements when he wishes.[4]

Description: In his current form he wears a leather trenchcoat over a white t-shirt and camo pants with black boots. He has scruffy brown hair, striking brown eyes, and a scar across his neck and a scar in his chest.
In his true form he wears black knight armor with the relief of a wolf's head on the chest with a golden cross over it, with rubies in the ends of the cross, the left and right one making the eyes of the wolf head. The top of the cross is broken. He has spikes coming from the knees and elbows, claws on the gauntlets of the armor and wears one of those bucket helmets from wich red light floods. If Daemon Prince takes control he grows dirt green wings of flame, red energy horns from his helmet, and a red energy tail. if Radicum takes control he just gets gold eyes.
If Daemon Prince takes over completely, he becomes a red amorphous blob of energy with a pair of golden globes signifying a simulacrum of eyes.
If Radicum takes over completely he turns into a ten feet tall mass of blue mechanical armor with energy claws on on arm and a gatling gun on the other, and a wolfmask as part of the armor for a face.

Abilities: In his current form he is highly limited in his ability, having minor control over gravity allowing him to speed up his movements. He wields a black esoteric sword, the Black Blade, which cuts through space itself, rending it, and heavily damaging any matter or energy caught in the swing. The rends tend to fix themselves quickly though, so the fabric of space time is at no real risk. Molecular level connections break down though, causing unavoidable damage. He can temporarily shift back to his former and true form, unlocking his full range of abilities.
In his true form he has unlimited control over gravity, allowing him to remotely move pretty much any object, crush foes insides with a black hole, or reverse gravity, causing massive expansion of whatever is affected, basically detonating it. he can create wormholes to nearly instantly move from any place in space to another. He can also use gravity to fold time allowing him to travel back and forth within it, or escape time and space entirely to move to another dimension, or create pocket dimensions.
He furthermore has access to his giant mace, Tania, who is sentient and in love with Stein, a love which he cannot reciprocate. But she is good for smashing stuff.
Also he has access to vast amounts of magical abilities, ranging from control over elements to emotions and just plain damage types. This magic is channeled through 18 magical weapons which he acquired during his long live.

He stores these weapons in a pocket dimension and can pull them out and remotely wield them at his leisure.
Magic of course takes life force to wield, which he has none of being a robot, and thus he has a means of siphoning souls from living beings and store them in giant gems to tap into. He has stored countless souls over the eons as he destroyed several universes to siphon their souls because they bored him.

When Daemon Prince takes over he loses most of those abilities again, going back to personal speed control mostly, but he gains an innate control over other people's emotions, allowing him to goat them into making mistakes. When Daemon Prince completely overtakes Edward, his form changes, and he becomes intangible with nigh absolute control over emotions of those around him, siphoning said emotions for sustenance. It takes an extraordinarily steeled mind to withstand DP's control.
When Radicum takes over, Edward's abilities remain mostly the same but become limited by a narrow minded human's imagination. Once Radicum completely takes over though, Edward's form changes again though, and Radicum, in his heavily armored form appears, wielding his claws of holy energy, and shooting holy bullets from his gatling gun, and able to bless the unholy!

In both his normal and true form he has access to a satellite network spanning the globe, transmitting information about pretty much anything on the planet to him. His build in sensors are also top notch, giving him very fast feedback on anything that happens around him.

His drawback is that he can only stay within his True Form for a short time, about 1 minute. (Roughly three episodes of air time I would guess.)

While he is in true form, any changes in gravitational fields charge his generator, which allow it to create larger changes in gravitational fields, causing it to quickly overcharge, causing quick and sudden death if he overdoes it. He has to return to his normal form to allow his damaged generator to regain a modicum of stability before he invariably perishes anyways.

His mind is immune to control because it is actually made up of three people.

Personality: In his current form he is a cranky old man who wishes to end his existence, but because of his own personal code of honor he cannot take his own life, instead having to rely upon a strong adversary to fight to the death with. Combine that with his incessant need to help other lesser beings because of his code of honor again and he has his work cut out for him.
In his true form, is old personality shines through again, being more fun loving, amiable, and cruel, and holding a spectacular true neutral alignment as he performs great deeds of good alongside treadfull deeds of dastardlyness right next to one another.
With Daemon Prince in control his behavior becomes erratic, as it is largely dictated by the mood of the people around him.
With Radicum in control he becomes cold, calculated and filled with a zealous faith in a God Emperor from a world far far away.

Backstory: He was created by Kommandant Stein during WWII, a German scientist formerly in the employ of Nazi Germany who decided to defect once he saw through the Nazis' lies. He created Dark Nemesis as a robot with free will to chose his own way in life, and thankfully Dark Nemesis, having a sillyness streak in him decided to not side with the Nazis and defend the castle they were in from the former by routinely playing catch with the artillery of both the allied and the axis troups. History went on, the Kommandant died, and Edward found himself entwined with the destiny of a bunch of other superhero-esque guys that ended up in many whacky adventures on which he found his magical weapons, made three little Knightling kids, and an army of Knightling bots to tend to the castle, which he eventually tore from the ground to send flying across the world.

Along the line two beings from another world, Daemon Prince, a being of raw emotion fighting for the forces of some Chaos and Radicum, a warrior entombed within blessed mechanical power armor fighting for some Imperium, where thrown through limbo by a warpstorm and ended up part of Dark Nemesis's mind, where they struggle to this day for dominion over one another, and Edward's mind. They now form a quasi ego, super ego, id trio in there.

Further along the line he fell in love with a human wind mage, but he was thrown into limbo and sent to wander the dimensions aimlessly before he could get anywhere with her.

Further further along the line he met several of his old friends in a new adventure at a nexus of dimensions while he was in a state much like his current, and ended up saving the multiverse alongside them and get revenge on the one who separated him from his love.

Further further further along the lone he returned back to his old world, amiably separated with the wind mage, but still feels the loss in his heart to this day.

Further further further further along the line he hooked up with the "daughter" of an dimension hopping friend, a digital entity within a hyper advanced watch/PDA.

Further further further further further along the line he joined his friends again as a new thread happened upon the world, which turned out to be a future or maybe past him turned into what is basically a ring world trying to destroy all. His lightning angel friend had to put his then current form down and then the heroes, with the help of hell destroyed the ring world.

Further further further further further further along the line, restored by his castle he send himself and his castle into a self imposed exile from this world to stop himself from destroying it in an uncontrollable rage.

Further further further further further further further along the line he went on a rampage, sick of existence, trying to destroy it all. He collected many souls then.

Further further further further further further further further along the line he decided upon an elaborate plan to make his own greatest warriors by creating worlds to raise these warriors in and make them strong, then guide them to him. But a future or maybe past self intervened for who knows what reason.

Further further further further further further further further further along the line while talking with the landlord of his local hell, Tania hooked up with him and videos of the two in action are now what pay the Knightlings maintaining Castle Stein

Further further further further further further further further further further along the line he onceagain grew tired of living, having destroyed too much, having seen too much suffering, having seen no purpose in his own life other than death and despair, having lost the three people in life he truely loved, separated himself from Castle Stein to wander limbo eternally.

The Epics of 12


World: 12's story is set in a post-apocalyptic world where technological advances have caused so much pollution that the carbon dioxide content rose to ridiculous levels and everyone died, and nature started to reclaim the world and Earth is no longer a place for humans to live, ....except for one man, 12, who fortunately held his breath throughout the incident long enough to not die with the others. Realizing the horrifying truth  that he's the sole survivor of human race, it's up to him to travel to the East, and ask the Gods there to return Earth to its way before.

Having worked out for 10 years, 12 have superhuman endurance compared even to the best professional athlete, he's able to run as fast as a car and have reflexes that allow him to predict the path of projectiles and dodge them beforehand, moreover, he has intelligence matching that of GLaDOS, which allows him plot world domination in a mere 5 minutes.

12's greatest weakness is probably of the fact that he's a human, and the ''enemies'' he's bargaining with are literally Gods, however, as we all know Gods are arrogant as hell and all, so they can be tricked and killed rather easily by 12.

12's quest is not a easy one, for the proud Gods are more than happy to see that humans are finally gone from the world, and they are also out for 12's blood too, can 12 achieve his goal and save the world?

Contrary to what the other Gods WANT TO BELIEVE, 12 DIDN'T assassinate Nike and took her prized possession for himself.In fact, the TRUTH was that THE BOOTS PICKED 12 AND NIKE PERFORMED A SEPPUKU OUT OF SHAME AFTER REALIZING SHE'S BEEN DITCHED.

The belt works as a PEEPHOLE THAT REACHES INTO THE VOID. When an object is placed next to the SCANNER on the belt, the ESSENCE of the object  is POCKETED INTO THE AFOREMENTIONED  VOID, thus ERASING THE OBJECT'S EXISTENCE FROM THIS PLANE WHILE STORING IT IN ANOTHER.

4:Miasmallisticicle Blade of Miasma: More like an ABILITY than an actual WEAPON, 12 can let out the SOULS OF GODS TRAPPED IN THE PLATINUM BELT and gather them in his hands to use as a SLASHING WEAPON. The result of this is the MIASMALLISTICICLE BLADE OF MIASMA, a horrifying weapon that can CAUSE WOUNDS WHICH NEVER HEALS. On top of that, swinging the MIASMALLISTICICLE BLADE OF MIASMA will also release a wave of scorching cursed energy which, when hit, will inflict SIMILAR EFFECTS AS CUTTING ONE WITH THE BLADE ITSELF. An even more fearsome secret of the MIASMALLISTICICLE BLADE OF MIASMA is that  when SWUNG PROPERLY, the MISMALLISTICICLE BLADE OF MIASMA can even REVERSE TIME. However, due to an 12's IGNORANCE ABOUT ITS POWER, he will have to settle with KILLING EVERY GOD.

5Spaulders for Honest Men: When Jesus was crucified, TWO OTHER PRISONERS were also CRUCIFIED ALONG WITH JESUS. While one of them TOLD JESUS HE SHOULD SAVE HIMSELF AND THE PRISONERS, the other TOLD JESUS HE ONLY WANTED A PLACE IN HEAVEN. OR THAT'S HOW I REMEMBER IT WENT. ANYWAY, the HONESTY and SELF-RESTRAIN shown by the LATTER PRISONER had Jesus so touched that he created a set of spaulders IN NAME OF THE HONEST HUMAN. As the spaulders also represents the WEIGHT OF SINS ON ONE'S SHOULDER, it cannot be lifted by one who has a TWISTED MORALITY. It would, however, BE LIGHT AS A FEATHER WHEN WORN BY ONE WHO'S RIGHTEOUS, the wearer would also gain REGENERATIVE POWERS, allowing THE WEARER TO RECOVER FROM ANY WOUNDS AND DISEASES WITHIN A DAY.

Context
I was 13 years old when I initially came up with this character design. The character has, aside from the normal form, 6 other forms. It will be explained. In any case, I'm not sure what I was on when I came up with this character. I guess being young has its perks. Anyway. Here we go. If anyone has their doubts, I literally wrote those when I was 13, and I have only edited some very minor things.

Tialys Matriette Tialys Katori
TITLE: The Ephemeral Desire / PRELUDE MOON
GENDER: Male/Female
MAIN WEAPONRY:
- Kouma'ai Izayoi - Katana
- Sanzenrakuen - Dagger
- Kurorouken - Agito Katana

BACKGROUND: Unbeknownst to himself, a certain defect in his body causes him to change disposition and looks when under different wavelengths of moon light as he goes world-hopping. Only his mother and father know this, but as they're presumably dead, no one knows and can provide a proper explanation. He was born as Tialys Matriette, but after a certain incident that occurred, he and his family changed surnames to Katori. Furthermore, Tialys is actually the descendants of a line of families that were chosen as "Chainkeepers," i.e the people that determined/managed the fates of people's lives. Anyone, except their own. The Chainkeepers are now supposedly died out, but Tialys exists solely to extend the bloodline. Somehow, his inherent looks are helping to achieve this, albeit to the extreme. He was taught in the way of the blade by his father, and after 4 years of training (since 10) he had become quite well-versed.
When the Saint Legion, a so-called "evil organization," was established, they had decided to, for whatever reason, raid Tialys' homeworld through a Dimensional Warp that conveniently existed near their place of operations. When they were attacked by Saint Legion, Tialys was captured (they couldn't KILL young people, obviously...? Right?). He was captured at 14, where he was kept and subject to sexual and physical abuse by inmates and wardens alike, and was also the subject of various experiments that included, but may not be limited to:
1) A test for immortality serum, which worked, but had deadly side effects - the decay of the soul and essence of humanity
2) The ability to alter chromosomes, which also worked, and didn't seem to interfere at all with his wavelength reactions, nor was that ever discovered during the experiment
The experiment took place when he was 18, so that's why he would never look older than he was, but was actually much older than that. Eventually, at 29, he found a way to escape, and decided to hone his skills to exact his revenge. He came across a large dojo of sorts called "Youseikyou," where he managed to gain entry even though he wasn't actually a fairy, through what the inhabitants called "charm, intelligence and ultimately a want to improve" and began intensive training of his magical potency, abilities to use two weapons with extreme precision, and other skills. It was there he encountered a man. A man he found out was called Xeno. Apparently, he was intrigued by Tialys's method of fighting, and he challenged Tialys to a spar. In the end, it was a draw, to both of their surprises.
After training and staying for 14 years, he had such a strong bond with this Xeno character that they exchanged their histories. In the end, Tialys was being spied on by the nefarious Saint Legion who had a project that needed "knowledge of the universe." They captured Xeno, which angered Tialys to no extent. He left, now an honorary member, and was ONE PISSED OFF GUY and was welcome to return whenever, provided it didn't move from its location, in which case he'd have to happen upon it again.
In any case, Tialys used his newfound skills to stage a one-man assault against the entire Saint Legion, where he indeed managed to bring the entire organization down to its foundations, slaying nearly anyone he came across. There were survivors, but Tialys was too tired after that to find them. He also began his search for Xeno, but never actually found him. Little did he know that one of those survivors would eventually be the founder of an organization called the Wacko Warriors, which he decided to join for whatever crazed reason, probably because he wanted to have a purpose in life, but that was a huge lie within the Wacko Warriors. He ended up becoming the 4th Pillar (one of the leading heads) through an election. He was also a high-ranking member of the quick-to-fail Fragment Order.
At this moment, Tialys is trying to figure out what exactly he is, and why he exists. He also wants to get into a relationship, but is having trouble doing so. It's depressing him for some reason.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
- Dual-wielding of nearly anything feasible - Due to training, Tialys can duel wield nearly any combination of swords within reason.
- Moonlit Reaction - Tialys reacts heavily with moonlight of different wavelengths, change in disposition, and eventually, personality as well.
- Magic - Tialys is capable of casting spells, but can only cast high-end supportive spells.
- Chromosome Adaptation - Tialys can alter his chromosomes to change his gender.
- Manipulation of the Fates - Tialys, being a Chainkeeper, can control the fate of other people except his own. He rarely uses this because his ability is not that great, after most of his soul had been decayed through the immortality serum.
- Articulate Charm - Tialys can use almost anything at his disposal to create a lasting impression on people... Don't know what this can do in a practical situation, though.
- Rebirth - Tialys can use this to change back into a full human for 48 hours, doing so in an extravagant manner reminiscent of a phoenix, even appearing similar an anthropomorphic one. This is also extremely similar, if not the same, as one of Tialys's final moon reactions - the Throne Moon.

FINAL TECHNIQUE
Luna Errata: Tialys creates double-images of himself (4 of them) which run at the enemy and start attacking the target in a synchronized manner, which involves many, many cuts. Soon, the area becomes dark and a cream yellow moon can be seen. Then the copies and Tialys itself start mauling the target with their weapons, causing the moon to be stained red with the blood of the hapless, unfortunate victim.

Black Lace
TITLE: Rose of Devotion / 1ST MOON
GENDER: Female
MAIN WEAPONRY:

BACKGROUND: Black Lace is a feisty lady who happens to be a very good sharpshooter and gunslinger. It is unknown of her origins, but Black Lace is the form that Tialys happens to assume the most. Black Lace is very laidback and likes to consider life as something that should be embraced - after all, you only exist once, right? In any case, it's known that Black Lace is wanted by mercenaries everywhere, but when Black Lace encounters them, the mercenaries either die, or are too shaken to tell the tale of the encounter.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
- Gunslinging - Black Lace is extremely accurate with fire-arms and is able to use two guns at the same time.
- Sharpshooting - Black Lace is also extremely accurate and precise with a rifle, meaning she can make the shot that counts.
- Sleight of Hand - She is very dextrous with her hands. 'Nuff said.

FINAL TECHNIQUE
Tear of Resolution - Black Lace shoots the opponent with all her firearms (listed below):

TITLE: Vengeful Star / 2ND MOON

BACKGROUND: Sylastar Len is what the legends call "Destroyer in Disguise," as an innocent being who has intents of malice and destruction. In fact, Sylastar is simply just a trapped soul in a kid's body who wants revenge on the person who killed his lover. He has a rather sharp tongue and won't hesitate to speak with dripping acid. Despite this, he has good intentions and is actually fairly submissive and obedient. He has powers that no one has ever imagined before, and won't hesitate to use them if you piss him off, however. He is often mistaken as a girl.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
- Magic - Sylastar has knowledge and the capability to cast very high-end spells.
- Sword Mastery - Sylastar is quite exceptional with light blades.
- Manipulation - Sylastar can use his appearance to manipulate people to do his bidding.

FINAL TECHNIQUE
Corona Finale - Sylastar invokes upon the power of the very sun itself to strengthen his blade, before calling upon showering stars to engulf his enemies and then subsequently enveloping them in burning flame from the sun, our very sustenance, itself.

Midi Eglandine
TITLE: Rose of Ferocity / 3RD MOON
GENDER: Female
MAIN WEAPONRY
- Kuroibaraen / Axe

BACKGROUND: Midi doesn't like to be called by her first name, and threatens people to call her by her last name, Eglandine. She's very fierce and tends to act before thinking, much like your typical musclebound idiot. However, despite this mentality, she is not totally stupid and possesses logic and common sense. You just don't see it a lot since she's killing things half the time. Tialys would like to assume Eglandine's form more, since it gives him an excuse to get rid of the people who've tormented him in his life, but beggars can't be choosers.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
- Ignore Weight - Midi's massive strength means she can carry absolutely anything, despite how heavy it may look.
- Metal? - Midi can break through most metals with her bare hands, except really tough alloys or naturally radioactive metals/non-metals.
- Blurry - Midi can attack at a rapid speed, but she doesn't normally do this a lot.

FINAL TECHNIQUE
Tsukinagareheki (Moon Flowing Splitter) - Midi utilizes the power of the sky to charge her weapon with energy, then summons an "image" of the moon, and then assaults the enemy with kicks and punches before slicing the victim in half, ultimately slicing the image in half as well.

TITLE: The Elusive Rose / ECSTASY MOON

BACKGROUND: His nickname is Arstroe, because for some people, that is too difficult to pronounce. Alstroemelia is a very androgynous male that is one of the people who can crossdress and get away with it (aka Jun Watarase syndrome). When he was younger, he was forced to be a part of the sex trafficing trade, for some reason he can't fathom. He's actually a lot older than he looks. He is often dateraped and was firstly at the physical age of 7. It has of course, shattered what little he had of his sanity, and is very emotionally unstable and physical unstable. He seeks someone who can protect him, though he can very much protect himself if need be.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Magic - Alstroemelia is very proficient at casting magic of healing and support of all levels.

- Last Word~Deathly Seduction - Alstroemelia acts very vulnerable, and when the victim tries to get close, the victim gets literally beaten to death into a bloody pulp with Ayuraidobolg, a large, spiked/thorned mace.

Infernal Sweet
TITLE: Ashes of Rebirth / THRONE MOON
GENDER: Male
MAIN WEAPONRY
- His barehands and legs

BACKGROUND: Infernal Sweet can also be considered synonymous with the form Tialys assumes when he utilizes Rebirth. Infernal Sweet has two states, his normal, humanoid state and his Phoenix state where the changes are more evident in his more bird-like appearance and massively enlarged eyes. He's quite rational and doesn't like fighting that much. When he does fight, he fights using his barehands and his legs, no weapons or anything. It's not like he's weak or anything though, he's quite devastating in true fact. He's more of a pacifist character though. Information regarding his origins is unknown.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
- Ryuuen Hououtenshouken - Infernal Sweet's martial art technique. It is solely based on using quick, lightning-fast motions causing lots of damage through multi-hit attacks that don't require much power.
- Awaken - Infernal Sweet can activate his Phoenix state and gain heightened senses and eyesight.
- Foresight - Infernal Sweet has unnatural ability to predict movement and attack, making him very hard to hit. The one weakness is water.

FINAL TECHNIQUE:
Bakusou Ryuuen Hououtengazan - Infernal Sweet exhausts the majority of his oxygen supply by applying all of it into this powerful attack composing of an insanely long flurry of rapid kicks and punches, all empowered by a blazing inferno. It is very hard to avoid, but after using it, Infernal Sweet can no longer sustain his energy and collapses, reverting back into Tialys. Infernal Sweet can no longer be invoked for at least a week if it has been accessed through Rebirth.

BACKGROUND: The true form of Tialys, most likely evoked through his current being as a state of reincarnation. For all intents and purposes, he will be referred to as Syliana to avoid confusion in names (Present!Tialys and Original!Tialys). He was born of Ninseim (mother) and Nininhat (father). Syliana was raised to become one of the finest warriors of his time, which indeed, he nearly came close to doing so, and also somehow causing the monarch's daughter to fall in love with him in the process. Apparently, the king/monarch within Syliana's homeworld disapproved of this relation and had Syliana murdered/assassinated. Much to the king's daughter's - Iylnanna's - grief and utter dismay, she then shut herself out of society for much of her life. Syliana was then buried beneath a giant, yet old and worn statue that was to be of the chief deity of the homeworld pantheon worshipped - Eitemnaki. Every day, Iylnanna would only leave to see the grave of Syliana, always shedding tears of sadness, of sorrow, of the ultimate grief and trauma. In the end, her tears caused a "miracle to occur." The fateful visit of the human embodiment of Eitemnaki himself granted Iylnanna's wish of resurrecting Syliana for her undying faith and her undying will to stay by the side of the one she loved. And there was an unexpected gift - Eitemnaki granted Syliana immortality. In the end, Iylnanna forged a rebellion against her father and usurped the throne, assisted by Syliana's will fuelled by vengeance and the general population who did end up disliking Iylnanna's father's conduct become more and more corrupt over the years. Syliana and Iylnanna then ruled for a long time, until Iylnanna passed of old age (98). Still remaining beautiful. Syliana still lived on, now aware of his immortality. He grieved for Iylnanna and would often visit her resting place, a beautiful sanctuary located nearby. Syliana then had two swords forged for himself, one to symbolize his love and the other his passion. Eventually, over thousands of years, Syliana grew weak of defending his homeland and was visited by Eitemnaki again, allowing one wish. Syliana asked to be sealed into a statue so he could be reunited with Iylnanna in the afterlife. Of course, Eitemnaki granted due to Syliana's eternal dedication and gratitude.

... ... ...

Yet, the embodiment of Syliana lives on generation after generation, this encounter with Eitemnaki paved the way for his creation of the Chainkeepers to uphold the ideals of Syliana and Iylnanna, granting them the ability to control the fate of those they see fit.

...And that is how Tialys of the present, came to existence... And in the end, he can invoke the power of the pinnacle of his ancestry.

SPECIAL ABILITIES:
Aeus Utnapishtim - The blessing of Eitemnaki grants Syliana immortality and increased tolerance to the curses of the dead.
Elunis Astarte - Syliana's fighting style, using two swords at once in a series of exquisite, and fast movements to confuse the enemy and then dive in for the attack.
Rage of Ishtar - Under times of immense stress, Syliana's senses and thinking are greatly heightened, thus his reflexes are faster.
Origin of Magnificence - He hath acquired the knowledge of the gods themselves, in doing so, this one shalt prevail over all. (in other words, he has proficiency in nearly all types of magic)

FINAL TECHNIQUE:
Taikyokentai Anki / 太虚健体暗喜 (trans: Anki, Body of the Universe) - Syliana's katana, Anki, gathers cosmic energy reminiscent of the gods themselves and proceeds to slice the enemy to bits. First, there is no effect, but the enemy then explodes in a burst of holy light.

As a somewhat related question: why do characters such as these have alternate forms? Is it just a matter of their original shape not being able to do quite so much of everything, so their writers add extra ones to cover more bases?

There's a couple reasons for them. One of them is simple Rule of Cool thinking; multiple forms are cool, and I'm cool, so my character needs multiple forms! Usually this is someone who wants their character to be an SSJ-like or an video game final boss. In some cases it's a fake weakness and immediate band-aid for it; you'll find this in stuff that has some kind of loose stat system, where they have to take some kind of stat they aren't best at. In that case, multiple forms are a useful tool for shifting stats around.

Of course, a proper lamer will not bother with forms, they know the real deal should be to go 100% all the time. You don't see The Big L fucking around with forms, he's just all Better Than You, all the time.

I think the reason is that chuunis don't know any restraint, so they cram every single idea they come up with onto one character when you could just as well spread them around between a whole cast. This is why they always have multiple weapons, multiple species (half-vampire demon dragon), too many powers, etc in addition to multiple forms.

Also changing forms is a way to up the ante in a fight for cheap drama.

The ASPEICT Project is a joint effort between several interdimensional organizations to create versatile, multi-dimension compatible weapons. An effect has been observed that a 'being' or 'soul' from one dimension will rapidly destabilize over the course of several weeks after long term dwelling in another dimension. Therefore, the obvious solution has been experimented with: fusion of souls. Being fickle things, direct melding has lead to...messy deaths. Therefore, the ASPEICT Project has been refunded and reworked to find an alternate solution; namely, faceting the soul and disjointing it from the body. The soul itself determines the form of the body, therefore if multiple souls are attached to a body but not each other the being should remain stable. A test batch of nine seperate ASPEICTS has been made, each with a corresponding number of souls.

EX-10, named the Ten of Dreams, does not have any predicted success. He/she (souls of different genders may be adjoined, and in some cases the souls themselves are capable of swapping) will most likely destabilize within seconds, but it will be good test data.

-When active, Coralis' body becomes somewhat shorter and stockier, in addition to his hair gaining several streaks of white. Body strength and stamina raises, along with general physical senses. However, mental fortitude lowers.
-Known as an 'General Level Exorcist', Nathelis was in the possession of an anti-undead weapon called 'Innocence' of the 'Parasite Type', which took the place of his left eye. It allowed the formation of numerous firearms, not all needing to be fire manually, and the eye (called 'The Alamo') served as the targeting system. Nathelis' main usage is, as expected, as an anti-undead ASPECT. Undead have the tendency of being able to alter the soul in some way (via drain or consumption or what have you), so an ASPECT capable of long range, efficient elimination of them was necessary.

Nijitsune Mangekyou:
-When active, Coralis' body rises in height and becomes more feminine. Hair shade becomes a gradient of red-yellow, and fox ears and tails of the same color are often displayed as well. Left eye becomes milky and clouded over, right eye now changes color based on emotion. Mental restrictions on social behaviors tend to be relaxed.
-A 'kitsune', or monster fox, Nijitsune is one of the non-human ASPECTS included in the subject. He is of the 'seven tails' level of strength, which is two tiers from the top available for his species, and focuses on fire and lightning techniques. He is also in possesson of transformation, possession, and illusion abilities, and has access to a powerful glaive called 'Arashigiri' that serves as a focus for his elemental abilities. He was included in the EX-10 platform for his utilitiarian abilities, but primarily for his transformation skills. EX-10 was intended to be a multi-purpose weapon, and infiltration options given by the transformation and illusion racial abilities would have been crucial.
-Notable Abilities: 'Sky's Purging of Impurities, Storm of the End', 'Inferno Resonance Field: One Flame that Ends and Begins Existence'
-Final Ability: 'Sealed Eyes: Kaleidoscope Universe'

Alchim Sylphide:
-When active, Coralis' body does not change overly much save for his hair becoming a dirty burgundy and eyes becoming a bright green.
-Considered one of the best, if not the best alchemist by his world's standards, Alchim grants prodigial chemical and engineering knowledge, along with a strange telekinetic control over chemicals. Alchim is also possession of a strange familiar named Nami, which for all intents and purposes is an acid golem. To provide versatility and huge amounts of firepower given enough time, Alchim was added to the EX-10 platform. Extremely notable was Alchim's greatest invention, the AZ Solution, which instantly reduces an entire area to absolute zero temperature when set off; this is an absurd weapon in any situation.
-Notable Abilities: 'AZ Solution', 'Homunculus Alteration: Vanilmirth Overclock', 'Chemical Fusion: AZ Solution Takeover'
-Final Abillity: 'Chemical Meltdown: Niflheim'

-Hemolan
-No known last name. Coralis' body becomes ganglier and emancipated when Hemolan is active, and his hair lengthens and shifts to a shade of sickly green. Disease resistance technically lowers, but it might as well not apply because of abilities granted.
-A human of the profession 'shinobi', which in Hemolan's world equated to magic warriors with a supposed focus in strength. He was in possession of something called a 'blood limit', which effectively equiled a mutated natural ability; Hemolan's was the control of his own blood. This results in numerous effects; weapons made of blood are obvious, but alteration of body processes is also something used frequently. Hemolan's inclusion in EX-10 allows the subject immense control over power output, especially when one soul is control of the body and another is relegated to blood control.
-Notable Abilities: 'Blood Style: Self Mutilation Reactive Defense', 'Blood Style: Maximum Human Capabilities', 'Blood Style: Cleaver of the Red Tide'
-Final Ability: 'Blood Style Hidden Art:

-Suju
-Also no last name. Changes hair and eyes to a dark grey color. Eyesight improves drastically.
-Classified as an 'AA+ Magic User of Belka Style' in his original dimension. Primarily uses a magical focus in the shape of a sniper rifle, with magic based 'programs' as spells. Specializes in long range heavy bombardment and scrying spells, with some proficiency in defensive, flight, and cloaking. Suju was chosen to be included in EX-10 for those exact abilities.
-Notable Abilities: 'Artillery Smasher', 'Exceed Scry: All of Creation Lies Within My Eyes', 'Sky Render Barrage Loading'
-Final Ability: 'Fake Arc-En-Ciel Firing'

Miask Shadevolley
-Eyes and hair become a darker shade of brown, near black. Becomes very slender and lithe; all physical abilities are raised to absurd levels.
-Simply put an assassin of universal renown. Called a 'wetboy' because of a certain saying in that world: 'Assassins have targets, which means they can miss. Wetboys have deaders. Once you've accepted the contract, whatever's left of the target's life is just a formality.' His success rate is perfect, his 'clientele' ranging from humans to top level demon princes, most famously. Can traverse shadows, as they are portals to a mirror realm accessible only to him. Through these portals he can also call upon the energies of the mirror realm, making it seem as though he is manipulating shadow. Grants the EX-10 platform much needed stealth and physical prowess, as Miask was trained to the absolute peak of human capabilities in life.
-Notable Abilities: 'Shadow Infusion Times Five', 'Life Extinguishing: Execution in a Realm Forgotten', 'Essence of Killing: One With the Blade'
-Final Ability: 'Noir'

Darian
-Hair turns a lighter shade of brown, eyes become blue. Body becomes physically stronger and faster and gains muscle memory associated with large sword usage.
-Blessed with a 'demon arm', Suju is known as an 'Onimusha' or 'Demon Warrior'. He can absorb the ghosts and residual energy (not souls) of the fallen to improve his own power and serves as the replenishment ASPECT for EX-10. He is also extremely skilled with twohanded bladed weapons and can use any preabsorbed energy as fuel for techniques instead of sustenance if desired.
-Notable Abilities: 'Endess Vortex Absorbtion', 'One Blade Becomes Many Technique', 'Onimusha Awakening'
-Final Ability: 'Hyakki Yako: Convergence of A Hundred Demons'

Nicholas
-Coralis' body becomes taller and broader, more masculine, while both eyes and hair change to a goldish color. Personality traits calm down immensely and Coralis becomes much more stoic while Nicholas is in use.
-Druid and necromancer, Nicholas was was member of the 'Golgari' guild in his world, who focused on the cycle of life and death. Nicholas' work was mostly focused around animal alteration and bone magic. Nicholas was also known for self application of bone magic to vicious effect. In addition, he has the basic abilities of a druid and necromancer, such as animal and plant control along with influence over the undead; his main work was in the fusion of the two arts, not them alone. Nijitsune's inclusion in the platform was deemed necessary, but his 'animal' nature made him dangerous to include; Nicholas was added as a way of making Nijitsune's presence safer.
-Notable Abilities: 'Bounded Field: Ivory Thicket', 'Bounded Field: Ghost Ark of the White', 'Bounded Field: Animal Undead Integration Zone'
-Final Ability: 'Secret Bounded Field: Boundary Between Life and Death'

Gisei
-In addition to his eyes inverting in color and his hair becoming a stark white, whatever clothing Coralis is wearing also inverts in color. The body also becomes slightly translucent.
-In order to cover the possibility that the EX-10 platform may need to cross over into the 'afterlife' or 'spirit world' or equivalent, a denizen of that world was added. A simple psychopomp with above average fighting abilities, called a 'shinigami' in his world. Abilities include eastern swordsmanship, magic called 'hado' and 'kido', and high speed movement. His personal sword is unique and can be released into a more powerful form with the sacrifice of some blood, improving his magic abilities and giving him several autonomous entitities that surround him and can fire said magic remotely.
-Notable Abilities: 'Destructive Art Four: White Lightning', 'Custom Destructive Art One: All of Existence in One Step', 'Stain The Floor With Your Blood, Chitsuki'
-Final Ability: 'Gesshou Chitsuki'

ASPEICT Mechanics:
The host body is in complete control, with all of the ASPECTS available for support. If EX-10 requires focus for a task (say channeling a spell), he can relegate one or more ASPECTS to the task. When entering combat, Coralis 'tethers' to an ASPECT and gains their appearance traits and powers. Multiple 'tethers' are possible, but straining up to three. Past that, it is extremely dangerous and will exhaust the platform at the very least; death and destabilization is a very real possibility. However, to bypass this, the platform has developed techniques that allow him to access the powers of his ASPECTS for split second usages called Gambits. Following are some examples of commonly used Gambits

-Alchemic Air Control Boundary: Acid Lightning Type
-Alchim+Nijitsune
-Combining the concoctions of Alchim and the magic of Nijitsune, the equivalent of an airborne minefield consisting of large vials is created; upon reaching a certain proximity of the vials, a bolt of lightning will strike it and immediately cause an explosion of acid. A simple method of crowd control that can have its elements swapped around. Using it with AZ Solution and fire leads to...explosive results.

-Seventh Sacrament Exorcist Corp: Last Crusade
-Nathelis+Suju
-With both of the ASPECTs' inclination towards firearms, this was an obvious technique to develop. With the large number of firearms and holy element of Nathelis' Innocence and Suju's long range bombardment capabilities, this Gambit is capable of wiping every undead within a mile radius off the face of the earth with unrelenting firepower, but :only: undead.

-Shadow Vein: Blood Portal Opening
-Miask+Hemolan
-Limiting the 'mirror world' energy usage to shadows only has and will limit Miask; with experimentation, the EX-10 platform has allowed blood to be a similar catalyst for the energy. This has less obvious effects than the rest of his Gambits, but combines two of EX-10's most potent self-amplification abilities into one technique, and is thus extremeley useful.

-One as Ten, Ten as One
-All
-Not a Gambit so much as a split second Tether to every single one of his ASPECTS, Coralis simply does so and releases every iota of energy he has into his right hand. It takes many shapes: a punch, a giant claw, a sword, what have you, but regardless it has the same effect. Mass destruction, and possible complete obliteration of everything in front of him. And behind. Using this Gambit is extremely dangerous not only because it threatens the continued stability of the EX-10 platform, but also because of its collateral and possible side effects; EX-10 has shown a startling capability to adapt and come back from what has nearly killed him and become stronger for it. It is very possible that each usage of this technique makes the next easier, and an actual long term Tether between all 10 souls possible...
