Also, while I adore both goddesses, and respect both of their characters, ~~I like Shinki better~~ I choose Kanako because of ☢CAUTION☢ NUCLEAR POWER ☢CAUTION☢-- and because I think she's awesome. Not that Suwako isn't. I just think Kanako kicks ass for not accepting her fate (fading away in a world with no faith).

I always figured it was because the shrine was always called the "Moriya Shrine" and Kanako decided not to change it because it would look weird for it to be "The Yasaka Shrine Formerly known as the Moriya Shrine." It advertises too much of the KANAKO BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF SUWAKO part. Remember, until the cover was blown by Reimu and Marisa, not even the Shrine Maiden herself knew Suwako existed, much less was kept alive by the wondrous mercy of Lady Yasaka.

That's true. Just like how Greece wants the whole world to call Macedonia by "The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia". How stupid is that. No one's going to say that. So of course everyone calls it Macedonia anyway. The Greeks could learn something from Kanako.
