sage.dll is short for System Agent. It's part of Windows Task Scheduler.

Shush. I intend to be less of a fool this time around. Also, I intend to also contribute something worthwhile this time around. I'm working on the finer details as we speak, but expect an interactive-fiction-styled original dungeon crawl in the near future -- taken (in part) from that aforementioned 'life's work'.
