So everyone still remember FTL mafia right
I bought the game after reading up the lore and listening to the soundtrack, and I just beat the flagship on a run, renewing my highest topping score, on the first run, with the crappy Man of War, and I somehow was lucky enough to ALSO UNLOCK THE CRYSTAL CRUISER, YES, IN A SINGLE RUN.
The run right after that was rather casual, I was already kind of dubious if I had enough of the equipment to take on the boss since my defense are really lacking and I don't even have a single engi as a crewmember for repairs, but I had two flaks, ion bomb and the pre-igniter as my lucky drop augment, so I figured I could at least give it a go since I was already so close and had the firepower. Besides, the nisos has the awesomebeam, and I ran into a teleporter in the last stand of all things, so as long as I can quickshot the boss, everything should be swell.
But then mind control happened to my trusty gold level engine operator because there were so few targets. I had perfect hull going in stage 3, now I keep getting rekted by the power surge without the dodge and I am not killing off the ship fast enough, I keep getting boarded, theres like 5 ppl on my ship, all hope is lost along with my manned bonus because people too busy dealing with boarders, I was busy micromanging and trying to vent ships, struggling until the end. Desperate, I wasn't even looking at the flagships hp.
Before I knew it, my hull has gone. The ship blew up, I was kind of relieved too. Its alright, I told myself, I unlocked the C type cruiser anyway, we can take this challenge another day. Then this happened.

I mean like, sure, I can sitll go on and play, but with every secret unlocked and achieving the most badass possible win in under 63 hours, anything else seems more like a victory lap at this point.
