PC-98's?
« on: February 10, 2012, 11:29:52 PM »
So, I'm interested in playing the earlier Touhous. Problem is, I don't have them, and I don't know how to get them, since they're all out of print. Thus far, it SEEMS my only option is to pirate, but I'd rather not. How would I go about aquiring and running the PC-98 games? I already have a Next emulator...

You pretty much have to download them, as they aren't available anywhere else. After EoSD came to the market, they mysteriously disappeared. (so it's been almost 10 years since they've been sold) (unless someone has a place we could buy them from, that could work :\)

As for configuring, look here, a thread I made a while ago for configuring them properly. There is a new emulator though, np2, that's being updated and now runs these games. You'll have to tweak LLS though, if you want to run it in that one, since LLS loads up so much junk it lags down, but only on that new emulator.
I figured out how to play midi in games with a different device on Win7 ^^
