Musically-synced Danmakufu script problems
« on: April 03, 2011, 08:32:25 AM »
I've downloaded several Danmakufu scripts that are supposedly synced to the BGM, such as this, this, and this.

But whenever I play the scripts, the music is not synced at all, and only progressively becomes more off from the danmaku as the script progresses.  To clarify, the music works fine.  The danmaku is fine.  It's just that they're not synced together, as advertised.

Is this a solvable issue?

Also, FYI, I do use AppLocale for Danmakufu and, as a matter of fact, I don't encounter any lag whatsoever while playing these scripts, which is what makes it even more puzzling for me.

Please help!  Any advice would be appreciated.

You are not running the scripts at 60 FPS exactly, all the way through.

Get VSync for Danmakufu and run that instead.

Ahhh, thank you.  That makes sense.

However, I've now encountered another problem.

I've searched all over the forum and found this thread, and I followed the instructions there carefully.  I put Vsync into the danmakufu folder and got the "UPX" problem message, but now I have trouble with the UPX decompression program itself.  Every time I try to run the UPX program that was referred to in that thread, a command box appears for a split second, then disappears.

I searched Google and managed to find another UPX decompression program, here, which actually does work for me, but won't decompress the Vsync.exe--It will only compress it, and it refuses to try to decompress.  It claims that it's "not packed" in the first place.

How am I supposed to get the UPX program working?

Well you're supposed to decompress th_dnh.exe, not VSync.

Ach, I feel so stupid.  I misinterpreted the information. :3

That did it!  Thank you so much! :D
