Dragon Quest 9
I just got the class changing ability, after a stupidly hard time with the boss beforehand.
Something about not being able to heal very well due to poor character inventory management.

And I tried to level Taizen (the protagonist)'s Mage vocation, to little success.
Slimes in groups of five, killing me, and almost taking down my Lv 16 thief.
Ordinary slimes.
What do.

EDIT: In other news, I finally managed to do a decent job on Perception, though I still FUBARed a lot. It's kind of scary though that Catharsis has a higher score.

EDIT2: Okay, bad idea to make a Redstone Beacon tower on my shitty computer. Especially one right on top of my mine entrance. It works fine, I'll give it that, but it drops my framerate to 2 and basically blocks my right-click (first I had problems with the doubletap, now it's a problem with notap).

EDIT3: Or maybe not - I just found out that my current map of my world is consuming 4GB out of my normal 13GB freespace on my main drive. Venting that out now.

I'm at the halfway point (I believe) and that was probably one of the most godly 30 minutes of my gaming career... This game is amazing and you should go play it. I only got into this because of the freaking music, and now I love everything about it. ~w~

And I guess Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, but that got put on hold for NieR.

I just got this game. I heard some of the music from the "This is your theme" topic and I haven't heard anything bad about the game so I was on the fence, but your quote made me want it. If it doesn't live up to it, I will hunt you down :flowerpower:

The biggest gripes people seem to have with the game are the graphics (sure, they might seem a bit "off" at times but I think it looks great) and the sidequests/missions. They can be pretty tediuos, but they actually provide a great deal of humor in the game. Oh and I guess the one mandatory fishing quest pissed a number of people off, but that's because they were fishing in the wrong spot. It takes less than a minute to catch the damn thing. =/

The controls took a little getting used to, but once you do it's really quite fun. All of the characters are great, I love the story, and the voice acting is top notch. When I heard Nier speak I was like "HO-SHIT, IT'S OVAN! THIS IS AWESOME." Liam O'Brien (Endrance) does the voice for Grimoire Weiss, too. And of course, the music~<3 I'm so happy I came across that thread, too, because I would've never noticed this game if it wasn't for that.

But Part 2 is just there to show off a few things. Like Haar. And Elincia.

Part 3 is the real apology for the DB...at least, for the first seven levels.

Finished getting an A-rank in every mission in Valkyria Chronicles. That wraps up that game.

Collecting star bits to get star 242 in Super Mario Galaxy 2. What a stupid unlock condition.

Picked up MVC3 and Blazblue, so I'm working on getting good at those.

Started playing Megaman BN3 Blue again. Did most of the Navi time trials but...
How the hell am I supposed to fight Drillman with an extra folder?!

Screw Ninja Gaiden II. Master Ninja is forcing me into a blind rage, so screw it. Even if I do get past the chapter 2 Rasetsu guy, Elizabet will piss me off, Dagra Dai will piss me off, and Zedonius... screw you too. I'll just wait to get Ninja Gaiden Black back from my friend so I can rage at Alma some more.
In addition to that, I'm waiting for Ninja Gaiden 3, but I have the feeling that the only raging will be because they screwed it up. It better be a challenge.

Thank you for making good games like Bioshock 2. I loved the first to death. This one retains all the wonderful things about the first. Namely, the creepy atmosphere, the engrossing environs with all the vintage '50's paraphenalia, and the extraordinarily strong story and characters that so many games of the FPS genre lack. Tenenbaum makes me want to cheer, Lamb disturbs me on many morally involving levels, and I always feel driven to pursue my next goal, all while having the freedom to explore the not so abandoned undersea world of Rapture. However,

I decided to play through Mega Man 9 again. Despite being rusty and having a few stupid deaths, I still got 40:15 for the ingame timer on a fresh run. My best time which was done by using a max screws file isn't that much better. And I would have beaten the time too if I hadn't gotten a double KO on Wily.

Just did another run of Mega Man 9 and got a 31:57. I think that's close enough to feel comfortable with racing the game with others.

3 deaths, 2 of them were pretty derp and 1 of them was kind of legit but could have also been avoided.

Of course, now do I want to tackle that or Bioshock II first.....

How was that a 30:53? I died 3 times, all in spots that cost me a bit of time. I thought for sure that run would have been worse than my 31:57.
