She was crushing on us to some degree, that much was obvious- and we just told her we're already taken. On what was, to some light, casual degree, sort of but not really a date?

...yeah I don't know what to say now that she's down, it's a somewhat awkward and delicate situation. We agreed to an "early dinner" with some implied connotations (as light as they may have been- it wouldn't be entirely unreasonable for us to be oblivious, but...) and then shot her down after it started. :S But try to be tactful.

It might be best to address it so we can apologize or something. We kind of blundered the situation up and it's going to be really awkward if we just leave things as-is.
