//What are you planning on doing, rounding up Reimu and the myouren temple to trek over here for us? This isn't the director, either. And, whilst perhaps rude, it's not THAT bad to suggest making a fair trade... I think? >.> We could change the statement to just wanting to meet the director, though, as it's the only part we really need to say to this person.

...yeah, that'd be fine.

>Rather than what I typed over there, instead, let's say "Oh, of course. Actually, I'm rather interested in meeting them, if it's possible."

Cut:Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Well, that makes the change of text even more apt, then. They'd be the one to talk to about pursuing a donor, still. And maybe a light suggestion of if there was maybe a way to get it from the museum (said in a way like "But of course, I'd never expect you to")
<mauvecow> see this is how evil works in reality, it just wears you down with bureaucracy until you don't care anymore

>The youkai frowns, raising an eyebrow. "At the very least, it's creative. I don't think we have any records of an explosion, but I don't think we have records of much of anything from back then other than the mist incident and the voyage that was undertaken to the moon. Things get a bit hazy around then."

>You have a look around. A few items jump out at you: There is a some kind of baton with a crescent atop it against the far wall. There are a pair of glasses in a display case not far from you. There what looks like a rock in another case, suspended from some twine by the looks of it. Another case near the side wall seems to have nothing at all.

> Have a look at the baton.

>You go to have a look at the baton. Getting closer, you see it that part of it was cut off by another exhibit, and it seems to be a full staff. Made of wood, it seems to be well preserved, though pitted with age and riddled with flaws. It would probably snap if swing and it hit something. The crescent on top is a soft yellow color, suggesting a lunar shape, that has not faded as paint would, rather it seems the wood itself has somehow yellowed. You feel this was probably a magician's toy at some point, it feels like something they would like.

>There is a plaque. It reads: "Magician's Staff:  ~130 Keio. Discovered in the Mountains of the Sun, not too far from Old Hometown. Some impacting on the wood suggests this staff may have seen occasional use as a melee weapon, while residual power shows it was certainly used as a magic focus."
