Heart started racing when I made it through Ichirin's second endstage noncard so I couldn't really graze her third one to the best of my ability. That tension pretty much lasted for the rest of the run, going on the rise again during stage six. No constant shotgunning antics during the final battle, I'm just glad this didn't build up for failure. I feel free from this particular shot type, difficulty, game. Going to take a nice walk now.

Rejoice, Hawk, for your Murasa grazing method has been put into practice. Seems at least as reliable as sweeping, if not more. 1.75 billion might be within reach with the new UFO route as well.

If you want to reach 2 billion, you must raise item point value by more efficient UFO route or have large graze before stage 4. Now I have hit 1.8 billion (Marisa A) with 19k graze after stage 3, 1.6k graze in stage 4.
As we know, 1000 graze will add 1000 point to your score item. Counted into last score, it will give about 23 million. So you must obtain more 8000 graze before stage 3 or stage 4! It's so crazy!

To moozooh: where is new UFO route? Maybe I have watched before, I can't remember it clearly.

I meant your way of doing stage 4 with an additional multicolored UFO after Nue. By the way, nyanko (にゃんこ on Royalflare) is attempting 1.8 billion with Sanae-B. That will most likely require using every known grazing trick to the fullest extent, as well as extreme luck on Nazrin's and Ichirin's main grazing spots.

No idea, but it seems to be common among top scorerunners to delete their submissions or not submit anything to the site, leaving the achievements on their blog.

People have discussed it before here and here (4th and 9th topic).

Excellent run, ycw! Optimization of certain parts went well beyond my expectations.

It seems there is very little left to improve at this point. For one, you can look into this way of doing Kogasa's third non-card. Murasa's third non-card can be grazed better with bomb.

All in all I believe you've missed no more than ~1000 (add 200-300 if you're optimist) graze points throughout this run, so if 1.8 billion can be reached with Sanae-B, it will be the score to stay for a very long time. nyanko has made it his/her goal as well.

I think just in Ichirin's last SC, I lost about 1000 graze or 800 graze at least. In my reply, if I don't bomb before first punch, and just bomb at fist hit I, then I can avoid next punch during bomb safe time. The same method for second bomb. In this way or only this way, can obtain max graze on this SC.

Unimpressive. But it is the safest route for stage 1 until 4 i have found so far. Stage 1-2 is item value hoarding + some extra life. Stage 3-4 is extra life hoarding. Stage 5-6 is scoring. Reaching 1B using this route is very feasible.

So AM's new Lunatic run gets almost 2.5 billion with a new announced goal of 2.6 (tentatively 2.7) billion.

It's really interesting in one particular respect: while the guy obviously studied the survival/grazing route to ridiculous extents, his UFO route is still improvable (which is funny because it's the other way around with everyone else). At such humongous graze levels (over 25k after st3, almost 38k by the end of the game) more/different UFO possibilities must be considered. By my calculation, he would have gotten up to 2.8 billion using ycw's route with the same graze values.

As for the prospect of 3 billion, it doesn't seem as realistic anymore… I know it's possible to graze even more, but definitely not 6k+ more than AM already did. Unless a completely new safespot is discovered at least. And if that doesn't happen, I won't even expect to see an over-40k Sanae run.
