I use Fraps for that. Fraps, for some strange reason, just plain doesn't see my PC98 emulator. I'll have Fraps running along with it, press record, and have no video at all.

Have you tried a different screen-recording program? I use HyperCam 2.

And I don't think there's anything else that'll let you record fullscreen. As far as I'm aware anyway.

If you're using anex86, you could always just resize the game window. It's not quite full-screen due to the title bar etc, but pretty close.

well, I was intereted in seeing how Vee can play In easy so much :V so I did a reimu solo run myself. turn out it was better than I expected. I mean, far away from anything he has broguth forth, but for a first try, that was totally botched up, with a death even and all that shit. broke the 2 billion. I suppose that's not too bad. MAYBE. I DON'T KNOW.

Not when trying to score with a human solo. There's like no reason to focus unless it's for survival purposes.

I tried out IN Easy Reimu solo last week actually. Test run scored 2.28b, follow-up scored 2.38b (with a last-second failure costing me the 2.4b). Maybe I should post it in the score thread.

I went to try Marine Benefit since I had not played that game in a while, so I went and played a stage 5 run, and got a 1DNB lunatic Megumi fight. (Death was a dumb one at the 2nd spell because lol what is dodging bullets)

Good to know my skills at this game are somewhat good.

wriggle, don't feel bad about it. when I was perfecting UFO extra, I never had a 1MNB run. I always died to 2 things until I got the run. until now I din't manage to only die once.

Okay, let's post some accomplishments and get back on track before I find myself revealing too many things in this tidy and decent board.

I've played some Phantasmagoria Trues. Got pretty solid routes down for Standard Mode so I should have a decent idea on how to survive the stages while keeping rank high. Yeah, this might be a bit easy street but it's a fun script for certain. Stage 5 is a bit annoying for some reason but I'll have to manage. Also, way to go not being able to practice the Unseen Stages and Stage 6. At least Unseen Stages would benefit from me learning enemy layouts but no, can't.

Can easily NMNB bosses in Stages 1-4 but Suika is being a bit hard for me. Some of her attacks are tough at least.

Survived SFN until the 24 second mark, which was a huge improvement since my previous best was 40 seconds. I can only wonder how much denser it can get, though, or how much longer I would have survived had I not let Yuyuko push me off to the side. Oh, well, nice way of starting the day, time for breakfast!

Since 90fps seems to be hip and cool I gave it a shot. Obviously I'm not cool enough to do epic stuff like extra stages or lunatic modes, but I played a bit on IN easy.

Deaths and bombs everywhere, didn't milk a shit. 7-4 end. Oh dear.

Someone on /jp/ has been asking for people to try out NBNF PCB Lunatic.

Horrible, hoorrible clear. I had several actually good runs, which COULD possibly have gone as far as 1.1B to 1.2B, or such were my estimations. However, the run that gets the clear is godawful struggle all along. Maybe that's better, the challenge was a desperate battle for survival along the entirety of the span of few days I was giving idle attempts at it. - At least the outcome pictures the run. Played ReimuB since I'm a huge wuss.

lepetit, SFN doesn't get any denser than that, I think. somewhere around 30 seconds the max is reached. maybe around 25, too. can't remember.

as for the touhou thing: being a little (touhou) girls lives inside all of us. which is why we're all dead inside :V

Hmm... that horrible clear is still not as bad as my horrible No-bombs clear. And that was with focused movement. PCB has a lot of quite dense patterns so you having three lives at the end of NFNB is pretty good by my standards. At least your run is better than what I can do.

Wasn't so hard this time around. Kind of bittersweet though, as I would have liked for Yumemi to at least last long enough for me to reach 90mil. Another time, I guess. And it's not like this was a true "score run" in the first place.

Anyway, this also completes my little goal of redoing all the characters. I think I've pretty much regained the skill I had before switching to controller use, with interest. I'm now quite convinced that this is a superior form of input. The only advantage of the arrow keys is that you can change horizontal directions slightly more quickly. Doesn't counterbalance the drawbacks, in my opinion. Granted, the keyboard I used was probably shitty, but I don't think that means much.

That's true, I guess. Unless you're cursed like me and the games refuse to work when windowed. But yeah, there are tons of alternatives to Fraps if you can window the games.

also, BULLSHIT on these on-spell dodges. especially on the 3rd and 4th. the waves where you freeze nothing and still dodge everything. the second death on blazing star, however was definitely your fault and could have been prevented. still - super impressive run. you pulled some crazy things in it.

Keep in mind that this was my first time past the last nonspell (it really shows in Perseid... and in Blazing Star too, but that's usually impossi-hard no matter what). The one really lucky dodge was during the fourth nonspell... haha. The one in the third nonspell was probable, at least. It's funny that this is still my only run to reach the very last spell, because it implies that every other run has even worse deaths in it. :<
