>You bounce over to the stream. It is board and fairly shallow, no more than an inch or two deep, and flowing cleanly. The plant life on the banks is quite thick, and would be a pain to get through if the season had advanced a bit further, but it isn't a problem for you now. You quickly clean off your chopsticks then shake them dry before using the edge of your blanket to get them fully dry.

Okay, people, what might interest us, and what are we willing to give to get it? Keep in mind that Kisume can't really afford to be frivolous.

Also, Guy, if you've got any opinions on the stock and/or what you wouldn't miss from our inventory, feel free to share. I am of various opinions of various things we have in terms of how much I want to hang onto them vs. how much I'd want to dump them for something more useful/interesting (I wonder if that bottle of sauce is the secret Yagokoro-brand breast growth formula <_<). I can simplify it a little bit by saying I would be thoroughly opposed to giving up the booze or anything we started the game with. The Old Wok, Chopsticks, and Sword Hilt stick out as particularly expendable.

It occurs to me that we may not need the empty glass bottle, since we live in a bag of holding. It would be a useful container for other travelers that don't.

>The empty glass bottle has always been empty for as long as you've seen it. You don't really see any traces of what it may have once held.
>You are pretty sure it is resealable.
>You ask about the black-feathered arrow. "I'm not sure what the deal with that arrow is," says the mouse youkai. "Marisa told me it was special, but didn't know how it was special. I found it in the basement when I took over running the place."
>When you inquire about the bundle of incense, she says, "I got that a couple days ago. It's vanilla scented."
>You ask about the bag of yellow leaves. "I got those from a lost kappa who wandered in a week ago. I don't know what they are, exactly, but they taste pretty great when you chop them up and mix them with rice and a little vinegar."
>You ask about the shield. "That's actually not glass," she says. "It's pretty hard stuff, really. Some faerie was using it and kept slamming into the front door with it, she dropped it when I chased her off, so I figured I'd put it on sale. No idea where she found it. There's some writing on the front of it that I can't read."
