Feel free to roll your own, Purvis, if you think this won't work.

>"I understand. But if you tell me where she is, then I might find her myself, and tell her what a good job you're doing."
>"Or, at least, when she'll be back."

>"Oh!" Honey replies enthusiastically. "She, um.... she... um...." Her voice trails off despondently. "She didn't say..."
>"...she didn't say that, either..."

Time to pay a visit to the Oni then?
I have a sneaking suspicion that Marisa might just be there.

Man, I sure hope so.
Either that or with those archaeologists in town. If memory serves, she said she did a job for them up north back in thread one.

>What do we know of Marisa's usual routine? In particular, places she'd want to go without a faerie hassling her.

I suggest we try to check out that light; I could see Marisa sneaking in the back door to get some peace. If that fails us, probably Yuugi-times.

Not a bad idea. Honey may be lovable, but she's still very much a fairy. Mari might simply have needed to take 5.
Gonna be at work for the next few hours. Hope y'all manage to track her down, wherever she might be.

>What do we know of Marisa's usual routine? In particular, places she'd want to go without a faerie hassling her.

>Marisa could be fairly unpredictable, hopping from one job to the next at high speed and with little warning, though it wasn't uncommon to see her hanging about the guildhall during downtime. She also had a penchant for burying herself personal projects, either disappearing for long stretches or barricading herself inside her home until she'd satisfied whatever curiosity she was working on, or at least gotten bored with it. You think there was also an open-air cafe here that she tended to frequent, but outside of that, you actually aren't all that acquainted with her routine or whether she even really keeps one; your interaction was largely on business matters.

>"Well, there's a light in the kitchen, too, in case I get hungry," she says. "I wouldn't want to bump into a chair whenever I wanted a muffin, nope. This house is mean when it's dark." She pauses. "Do you want a muffin?"

>"...Yes. Yes I do."

>"Okay!" she chimes. You hear her flit off in what you assume is the direction of the kitchen, followed shortly thereafter by a small note of exertion and then a sharp metallic crash. Honey squawks.

>"Are you alright?"

>You attempt to open the door, but discover that it is, in fact, locked.
>"I'm okay!" she calls out, then yelps as a series of dull clattering noises ring out from the kitchen. "I've got the muffin!"
>You hear her approach the door again, then pause and let out the vocal equivalent of a frown. "...how are you supposed to get your muffin, now?"

>Open the door.

>You open the door.
>Hovering in the doorway and bearing a somewhat lopsided muffin is Honey. She... seems to be wearing a distinctive floppy conical hat, made of black cloth and tied with a blue ribbon to match the rest of her outfit.
>She flits over to you and holds the muffin out. "Here you go!" she says, then frowns. "It's a little squashed... But still tasty!" she adds hastily.

>Take the muffin. Is it dirty or some such?
>If not, devour!

>You take the muffin. It looks perfectly clean, simply a bit squashed on one side as though something heavy had been resting on it.
>You waste no time on digging into it. Mmm... blueberry. It's perhaps a touch on the dry side, but still pretty good and you've certainly no shortage of appetite to go with it.
>Honey leans towards you, a vaguely anticipatory look on her face. "Is it good?"
