> "How far is this place we are going to Louise?"

> "Makes sense. It's not everyday you breathe through a filter." Louise says.

> "I'm afraid to say we'll have to go rather far. There is only one place of real authority in Makai, and it's at the very center of it."

>"And this is the only one you have?"

> "Yes." the woman states flatly.

> Kogasa raises her hand.

> "Is it OK to go if I don't need to breathe?"

> Louise looks confused.

> "Umbrellas don't have lungs."

> Louise sighs.

> "Well that means you won't suffocate, but if you feel like you can't handle the Maisma, go back. I don't know how it works with animated objects that do not originate in Makai."

//The portal that's very much still frozen?

//Also I'm more concerned about what if demons rush out in the time between us going in there and Reimu or Aunn returning. Or worse, what if they overrun Aunn. Sending them to the Misty Lake might leave the portal unprotected for a window of time.

> "Auun says no-one goes in or out, I don't think she'll go in, or even check the cave." Mystia replies. "She'll guard it when she's back."

> "Regardless, it'll take some time for word about the passage opening again to get out." Louise says. "News only travels as fast as the fastest person to see it. And I know an enchantment or two that will help with that. I can go wild with my magic with the Maisma of Makai."

> Louise pauses.

> "I should probobly say that I specialize in Enchantments and Curses. Pretty rare in Makai, most go for direct combat magic and animation."

> "I can fend off the riff-raff." Louise says. "But I don't usually have to concern myself with direct combat anyway. Everyone has enemies, rather useful if you can make the enemy of your enemy strong enough to do your dirty work for them, all while you watch under a Perception Charm."

> Louise has a sinister smile as she says that.

> Mayina scoffs. "And here I thought you someone who could destroy me with ease for a moment, but you're just a jumped-up White Mage."

> The deamon scoffs. Donitia giggles.

> "Unfortunately it uses quite a large amount of magic to cast such spells, and a lot of skill. One miscalculation and you can increase the power of the enemy, or ruin your own or your ally's bodies." Louise says, with one eye open. "Not to mention those of Makai are generally not big on teaching their magic to others. We're a society that runs on power and magic after all. Magic is power. No-one's giving away their life's work so easily."

> Your eyes are red as a ground cherry anyway. You can make them glow if you want, most youkai can add a 'red glow' to their eyes.

> The fairy looks a little surprised. "I'll do what I ****ing want." the fairy swears.

> "There's no need to worry about her. No-one would believe a fairy anyway, Makai fairies are not trustworthy things." Louise says. "Although there's nothing stopping us from turning her into a red mist in Makai if she acts up. She'd come back after all."
