Today is paradox, Alternate Universe Day. Today's holiday is born from speculative fiction wondering what other worlds would be like. For example, there's a rather popular one about Filgaia being populated with lesbians shooting at each other all the time. And another where abdominals are worshiped as gods. Their fans get in a lot of arguments...

Today is ######, Large Hadron Collider Day. Apparently, a Large Hadron Collider is some sort of nation-sized series of tubes where particles get flung into each other at absurdly high speeds, in order to find out what happens, even though there are people wondering whether playing with it could create a black hole. So why did we make one? For Science!

Today is qqrbrrbll, Demolitions Day. As awesome as a big, fancy building can be, tearing it down can be even more impressive! Whether it's with a wrecking ball, explosives, bulldozer, or simple deconstruction, today celebrates the destruction of buildings for new space. Especially the dramatic methods.

Today is percentsign, Cave Day. Caves are a great way to live underground and save a bunch on housing maintenance! Just, they tend to be cold, or fall apart a lot. Still, the price is right.

Today is ampersand, Shower Day. Showers are a much more convenient way of getting cleaned off than baths. Today celebrates the time and water saved through this hygenical miracle! Though, I guess not bathing saves even more...
