You arrive at the Scarlet Devil Mansion, Patchouli is currently out and about in her library.

You call Patchouli and show her the curse. She takes it and examines it, before zapping the cork with something. "Nasty bugger, I can't believe we forgot to magic the cork up too. If you had taken longer, it may have escaped... Anyway, Thank you, Chen, I think I can start studying this now."

"Possibly. It'll take a while, like a lot of things with this curse."

You're pretty sure Patchy is going to take a long time with this, anyway. You might want to do other things, even after visiting Flandre. Hina says she'll stay and help out with examining the curse.

You head down to the basement and enter Flandre's room. She appears to be reading a book.

Flan looks up. "Huh- Oh, Hello Chen. I'm reading...frankenstein, I believe its called? Its written in a different language, so I'm not sure if its pronounced like that. Patchy gave me these glasses, so I can read it in Japanese!" Flandre motions to some glasses she is currently wearing.

You feel like they've been there all along for some reason.

"Fairly good, not as tired as before for the moment... and we've had this since we moved. There is an entire section of the library of English works."

Oh, Right, the SDM wasn't always based in Gensokyo, after all.

Flandre pauses and thinks for a bit. "I'm not too sure. Sister always used to answer that we're from Transylvania, for obvious reasons, but I'm not quite sure..."

Flandre nods with a smile. "It is fine, I should be thanking you just for trying."

>"It'd look kinda silly, but maybe you could put your bedsheets over you head and wings?"

Flandre blinks and tries your suggestion out, it really does look silly. "Like this?"

You're not actually sure, you try and help her make some adjustments so the sun-light really doesn't get through. Its not exactly perfect, But you sure think it'd at least stem the pain of the sun.

She looks like a ghost in the end of it, but you give it the Chen-based approval. "Really? It still seems kind of silly..."

Flandre nods. "Okay." You don't think she happens to be particularly disappointed by your lack of ingenious solutions.

You bid Flandre farewell, you're not a good judge in these matters, but that was rather adorable.

Given that hooded shirt she was wearing, you have to wonder if cloth doesn't protect enough... You don't imagine it'd fully cover her, sure, but it'd offer decent coverage. You'll have to get some kind of protection, and a fancy robe would probably be easier for Patchy to enchant or something. At the moment, you don't imagine you should ask Flandre to head out. The sun is still out, after all.

You check in with the two. "Its only been a few minutes, not much we can do in that amount of time..."

You waste some time browsing through the library. You think you find an atlas of Gensokyo, but its just a book on all the separate places.

You find a seat and begin reading. You subsequently slightly start to remember the old days, before all the slaughter and stuff. You begin to realize why Suika is so depressed.
