Patchy Quest Moreso: A Z-Machine Adventure
« on: December 02, 2009, 07:44:36 AM »
+++Nazrin Located+++

>You are Patchouli, Gensokyo's greatest freeloader! You are on a mission to banish humidity from your library! It is unseasonably hot for late fall; the Aki Sisters have been complaining about the season being recalcitrant. Wriggle had taken up burglary and got in trouble with the Moriya Shrine, but you have sorted that out. The Prismrivers have broken up! Cirno has taken up Hip Hop at Eientei and failing terribly with Lunasa. Kaguya has asked you to provide a better cooling method for Eientei than Cirno hanging around. Byakuren and her followers are trying to build a temple, you have offered to help!
>You have a terribly embarrassing tattoo that no one can know about, and no idea how to get rid of it. Koakuma is on holiday, as stipulated in her contract. You are convinced Sakuya has it out for you. Aya has been arrested.  You have had a strange thing for hot sauces of all kinds. You've been gathering Secret Items for a robed woman in the alley in human town. Keine is missing. Reimu beat you up for breaking into Keine's school, and took a few of your spellcards. You have been Mukyuing shamelessly, and you think people are starting to talk.

> FFFFFFFFFFFFF
> Plan B: don't give crayons to Flandre
> Actually, we've been running around all day, would a bath and a change of clothes benefit us in any way?

>Damned maid!
>A bath and change of clothes would probably feel pretty good. But unless you intend to dive into the fountain, it would take awhile to set up. Remilia has a thing about running water in the mansion, so the maids would have to fill the tub by hand.

>Ask Sakuya and Flandre about Rumia and Jeff K Anon.
>Go to the Underground so you can ask Utsuho about a Sun Shard like Nitori suggested.
>make sweet, sweet love to Kisume along the way
> Inform Lyrica about what Rinnosuke told you about Merlin.
> Murasa should be in the library right?  Give her the book on engineering.
>dodge schizophrenia by splitting into future and past Patchoilis to multitask
> While we're at it, head to the shrine and talk to Reimu
> While going to Marisa's at the same time
> Wonder what Yuyuko's up to, so head to Hakugyokurou
>get shit real with Meiling and Flandre
> Realize every previous idea was bad, so avoid Sakuya's sight and sneak into the mansion.  Take a bath and change into some clean clothes, then locate Flandre again.  If she's still with Sakuya, it'll be better to see her if we're nice and clean.

>This is why we can't have nice things.
>Attempting to split into past and future Patchoulis would certainly help you find Keine, because she would hunt you down and kick your ass for the rest of your natural life.
>You know that cloning yourself would be a bad idea. The clone would try to steal your library.
>You head inside, and tell one of the maids to draw you a bath.

>Use magic to divide yourself into several copies
>Go take a bath while your copies carry out the other tasks that have been suggested

>You know that cloning yourself would be a bad idea. The clone would try to steal your library.

>SEPULCHRITUDE!!!!

>You do not know any haberdasher's daughters.
>The one of the maids informs you that the bath is ready. It seems that taking a cool bath has been a popular activity in the mansion lately, so they had one mostly prepared.
>One bath later, you are significantly cleaner and less sore. A fresh set of clothes doesn't feel half bad, either.
>Your Current Condition: Having a Good Day, Refreshed, and Damp-Haired
>You are in the foyer of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Here you can see many expensive artworks covering the walls, and a few classical statues in tastefully arranged places. Grand stairways on either side of the foyer elegantly wend upwards toward a balcony that opens to the tower where Remilia stays. To the east are the maids' quarters, and to the west is the kitchen. To the south you can see elegant double doors leading outside. Off to the the side near the kitchen entrance is a small door leading to the basement.

>_

> Grab a couple of your volumes from the library to trade to Rinnosuke for sizable amounts of "cash moneys"

>You refuse to sell your children.

> Head to the basement; maybe Flandre's done playing in the fountain by now

>You return to the basement and find Flandre is there, wearing a bathrobe and her hair in a towel, reading again. "Patch-patch!" she cries as you walk in, and again you are enveloped in a hug.

>If Flan is in the basement, give her the crayons and talk to her. If not, leave the mansion and head to the Underground.

>You give Flandre the Box of Crayons, which is enough to detach her from you. She opens the box, eyes shining, then says, "I didn't know there were this many colors!"

>You reclaim the paper and head upstairs. Thankfully, you catch Flandre still sizing up the walls. "Oh," she says as you hand her the paper, "Okay, I'll use this instead." She then trundles off to the library.
>You head outside and hail down Meiling, "Need something?" she asks a light tone.

Keep going north and you'll find Kourindou and the town. North of that is the fields. West of the forest is Eientei. And if you go east in the right spot in the forest, there's Mystia's stand.

>Sadly, Death is the only way she knows how to get there. There is supposedly a physical entrance, though.
>You take your leave, and travel the long path back to the Hakurei Shrine, instead. Lyrica gives you a curious look as you pass by, but says nothing.
>You come to the Hakurei Shrine's gates. The shrine is a small, humble affair of great age. Suika is presently passed out under the porch. Reimu is presently sweeping the path. Behind the shrine you can see a small pond. Obvious exits are west, eastA, and eastB.

So if you go there, it better be because someone there asked for you or you best have a damn good reason, or I'll break you in half. Got it? Anyways, go south, past the fields and farms until you almost get to the pond. Then you head east, off the road and into the mountains. It doesn't look like there's anywhere to go, but there is a path into a valley. Follow that and you'll come to four columns that stretch into the sky. That's your way in."

>You depart, and follow Reimu's directions, going through the North side of the human town. There you find, to the west, a store simply named "Shou's Clothes"
>Entering the establishment, you are nearly overwhelmed by the decor. The walls are tiger striped. The floors are covered with tiger-striped rugs. There are tiger-striped wall-hangings, as well as wall-hangings with pictures of tigers. There is a tiger-striped border where the walls meet the orange ceiling. There are racks of clothing; which the clothing is mostly mundane, the racks are tiger-striped. In the back is a counter with a fuzzy tiger-striped clothe thrown over it, where Shou is resting. All of the tiger motifs make you swear that you can hear sitar music. No, wait, you actually are hearing sitar music! Looking toward the corner, you can see Merlin playing a sitar, and looking thoroughly miserable.
