> Let the ride continue.
>Having little else to say, you let the ride continue. No more than two minutes pass before you feel the chariot start to bank to the side and turn in a wide loop as its speed slows. It's something of an uncomfortable feeling, as if you were going to tip off of the side. The mountains are close now, and for the next minute you fly in circles over them and the surrounding fields. You manage to get a glimpse of the four pillars that lead to the Netherworld during one pass. Finally, Mitsu says, "Okay, hold on. The landing's always the roughest part."
>The chariot lowers toward the ground, angling toward the plains near the mountains. It slows noticeably; dramatically in fact as you look at the windows and see the terrain is not passing by nearly as fast as it was. It angles downward, and the ground rushes up quiet a bit more quietly than you'd like, especially for the last few dozen feet! Then you hit the ground with a thump, and only the restraints keep you from slamming into the glass canopy! More bumps and jerks follow as the vehicle rolls to a stop, throwing you this way and that against the restraints! Then, finally, it comes to a rest, and the canopy opens.
>"Nothing to it," says Mitsu, as you contend with the curious feeling that you should still be moving. As well as the soreness in your shoulders, chest, and waist from the restraints.
