> You go back to where Kasen is.  She looked like she was ready to nod off again earlier, but she's more alert now.
> The first thing you get out of this situation is that it wasn't caused by any external force.  It's possible that she was possessed, but for something to get in your mind it has to be outside of it in the first place.  You also would have detected it from the very beginning, as victims of possession always feel "off" or unlike themselves.  Another possibility is that it was caused by an illness, but if Kasen were sick, she wouldn't have even showed up at the shrine.  She only looked asleep when you found her, not feverish.
> The last possibility is that someone sneaked up on her and attacked, but knowing Kasen, there's no way anyone would be able to pull that off on her.  She watches her surroundings like a tengu.  Otherwise, she would have known and told you.
