Hm.. It seems that Stuffman is still out for the time being, and I'm about to leave for work.. So, it seems that you guys just get to
SUFFER a bit longer!
But from what I've noticed about updates is such:
-Everyone's /home has been lost due to returning to Essentials. We get to use /sethome again!
-LWC protections have been lost, so you guys will need to redo them..
-We're using a different Death Message client now. Still working on how to use a proper syntax on players being killed by specific items. Unfortunately, I don't think we can come up with elaborate custom messages for each weapon type. It will most likely be something like "X was killed by Y's Z". Yeah. Exciting. But at least it should display what the killer used. We'll tinker with this a bit more later.
-I don't believe that anybody's inventory got wiped.. The first time, I logged in at my construction yard with nothing. Other times, I spawned at Spawn with all of my old gear. What does this mean? Well, I can't 100% guarantee that you will spawn where you left the game, and with the same inventory you had. This might be a non-issue, but I wanted to bring it up anyway.
-We've disabled the Endermen's ability to move blocks for this update. This is because they can move just about any type of block as of 1.8. Once we update to the 1.9 stuff, we will lift this restriction and allow Endermen to do their thing again.
I'm sure there were other things that I needed to note from my perspective of the update. But I was half-asleep at the time, and now I'm late for work (again).
