Also while playing around I did another successful another mode 1cc with all the extras. A betterish run too. I say betterish because I captured far more spellcards, and used far less bombs, but had more deaths (with like 5 bombs in stock and such) making my run's score worse overall (I don't know about the actual score, but rather lives left upon completion deal). I kinda wish I youtubed that instead. oh well.

Congrats with that. Perfecting extra stages is harder than perfecting Lunatic stages... (there is of course exceptions to that) mainly because you need to gather the motivation for it of course.

I just played SoEW lunatic for "research" purposes for my fanfic. Of course, once I finished confirming that yes it does rain in stage 2, I decided out of boredom to go and see if I could perfect the Magic Stones. I did. Another boss off the "almost perfect but not quite" group. I then somehow 1cc'd the entire game because the difficulty is pathetic now.

So I played the stage for the first time today since that clear.

Somehow I still clear it

Hearts were still as bad as they were before, so were Genetics and Philosophy. Did a little better on Subterranean Rose but still sucked a lot.

Took three attempts. Caught the rings of death in every run.
Everything got trivialised once I figured out I could lead Mokou around to my bidding. Yes, even the rings of death I could say was almost trivialised. The nonspells are just over so fast this way.

It's nice to see how much you've improved at Touhou once you get back to it after a while.

About time I actually did something significant!  What?  Captured "Possessed by Phoenix", Mokou's EVIL 4-part survival timeout card, after 79 tries.

Will I ever be able to do that IN THE STAGE?  I don't care!  This is good enough for me as of now.  For everything else, there's bombs and MasterCard.

Nah. Just perfecting those two extra's is not Jaimers material. Perfecting UFO Stage 5 and 6 and SA Stage 5 is.

You are now officially the next generation Kefit. (Still liked Kefit more though, nothing personal.  )
Perfecting IN's Extra stage is something that i would want to do too because that Mokou's only hard attack in the Rings of Doom but i have never captured that attack so i don't want to actually capture it only to clip her final card. Congratulations.

I, um.....beat Subterranean Animism on easy mode for the first time ever today. It's the first time I've managed to beat a non-fighting Touhou game. I used a goodly amount of continues though, so the ending was hastily scrawled on scrap paper, I didn't get a credits sequence, and the game promptly told me to man up and beat it without continues.  :ohdear:

Congrats though. The continue system in 10-12 is brutal so don't feel bad about about beating it with them, that's a feat when you're still learning.

Shadow Goo: Good job on the clear! The continue system for 10-12 (with the extend system in 11-12) means that a SA/UFO clear isn't too far from a 1cc. Just a bit more!

Honestly I think the most bizarre part is that up until a few days ago I seriously had not played SA for what feels like at least a year. Yet I somehow still managed to retain my skillz enough to rip and tear through the first four or five stages with relative ease. Not much, I know, but I remember it took me what felt like forever to get through stage five for the first time and was expecting it to be much more difficult to get through again.
