>After a moment, one of the maids emerges from the mansion. She curtsies as Meiling opens the gate, then leads you inside.
>You pass through the mansion foyer's, where you can see a number of expensive-looking statues, paintings, and other assorted artworks on display, as well as a few halls and a set of grand-looking staircases that curl up to a second floor landing. As the maid leads you to a set of double doors under the landing, you note a dog basket in the corner, looking very out of place with the artworks.
>The maid leads you into the library. Shelves upon shelves of books line the walls, while rows of bookcases on the floor create a virtual labyrinth of literature. Here and there, you see some reading tables and comfortable-looking chairs. The air is amazingly dry and clean, it feels like the air on the moon, in the dust fields far from civilization or the mares. Possibly even more dry that that. Obvious exits are north.
>You see Patchouli sitting at a long table, surrounded by books and drinking from a heavy-looking Commemorative Stein. You catch a glimpse of Marisa at a nearby shelf, carrying a few dozen pounds of books with one hand as though they were nothing. Patchouli looks up at you as you approach, giving you an appraising look. "Have a seat," she says at length, as the maid quietly departs. "You wanted to speak with me?"
