> Ask the whereabouts of Eirin and Kaguya
> Ask what they were talking about

>"I saw Houraisan-sama in the courtyard," says one of the rabbits, still giggling and your entrance.
>"Yagokoro-sama's in her office, working on something," says another. "I brought her tea earlier, she looked busy.
>"Oh, go to the front doors, and you're sure to see it!" says the first rabbit again.
>"We wouldn't want to spoil the surprise!" adds another.

>Enlist the rabbits to be your invincible army of the night~

>You can't even recruit these layabouts to clean their own room without some sort of threats, bribery, or cajoling. They can do an okay job defending Eientei, but motivating them is such a pain. Unless you're Eirin or Kaguya, the rabbits seem to listen to them all the time. And Tewi has a way with them, much to your chagrin.

>compose spellcard: Lunar sign: gimmicky gunwink
>Ask where Tewi is

>You consider it. It would take more time than you have off, though. Spellcard development is hard!
>You inquire about Tewi. You're met with a chorus of shrugs. This doesn't surprise you. Tewi also has a way of slipping in and out unseen. Oh, how well you've learned the unseen part...

> Look around the room to check if your stockings are located in the immediate vicinity

>You don't see them anywhere. But it's plausible they could be hidden anywhere in the mess if someone put their mind to it.

> If they aren't, aks the rabbits if they know anything about the stockings' whereabouts

>They look between themselves, then giggle and shake their heads. You know that this means someone, probably Tewi, stole them and they have no intention of saying anything about it.

>Ponder on if meeting Mokou or Keine would be a very bad idea

>Keine is a very nice person, as long as you don't bother her on the full moon.
>Mokou is...hard to read. You know she has a lot of bad blood with Kaguya over some ancient wrong, but she seems not to extend that to persecuting others in Eientei. Still, she's renowned for have a poor temper.

>Go to Eirins office.
>Gunwink as you enter.

>You take your leave of the rabbits, knowing you're not going to get anything else useful out of them, and head for Eirin's office. This takes you eastwards down the hall to the intersection, then further east to the courtyard.
>The courtyard, unfortunately, is outside. While your coat is sufficient to keep your upper half warm, your lack of stockings will make crossing the courtyard unpleasant to say the least. You can see Kaguya is out there, wearing numerous layers of robes, and watching a group of bunnies noisily play a board game of some sort. A couple inches of snow cover the ground, though a lot of it has been walked through. You stand just inside the eastern exit. Obvious exits are east and west.

> Spot check for Tewi

>What the hell is this d20 shit. This is a text adventure, son! You live, thrive, and survive by virtue of your brains and cleverness, not some dice! What is wrong with you!

>Examine inventory items

>Your Inventory Contains:
>Dress Suit (Wore as clothes)
>A professional-looking business suit, blouse, and knee-length skirt. What could be classier?
>Cresent Pin (Worn as accessory)
>You wear this to remind you of home.
>Wave Sign: Mind Shaker
>A spellcard where you use your abilities to make twin pattern of bullets seem to go in directions they are not.
>Visionary Wave: Mind Blowing
>A more dense pattern following the same principle as Wave Sign: Mind Shaker. Reality will be terribly distorted to the victim.
>Lunatic Sign: Visionary Tuning
>You disalign the wavelengths of a complex maze of bullets to try and trick your opponent into moving recklessly.
>Lunatic Gaze: Illusion Seeker
>Much like Lunatic Sign: Visionary Tuning, with a more aggressive pattern. It takes all of your concentration to use this well.
>Loafing Sign: Idling Wave
>This attack surrounds your target with bullets, and distorts them, forcing them to make fast decisions to avoid being caught in the middle.
>Indolence: Mind Stopper
>It takes a lot of concentration to correctly apply this card and keep up the stream of bullets.
>Invisible Full Moon
>Overlapping dense circular patterns of bullets, and alternating their wavelengths to force the victim to see one or other. It is simple, yet highly effective against the unwary.
>Tele-Mesmerism
>This is your ultimate attack, hitting an opponent with two huge waves of bullets, then shifting them as much as you can. It will leave you with a nasty headache and blurred vision.
>Comb
>A white comb. It has a few standards of your hair caught to it.
>Toothbrush
>Your toothbrush. Try not to get it dirty.
>Basin
>You fill this with water, and use it to wash your face and hands. It is currently empty.

>Check Stat values

>What.

>wabbit season

>Make a note to kick this nasty Gunwinking habit. It sounds like it'll get old.

>Also, Don't do this. Whatever it is.

>You are going to have to find ways to make it work for you, if you don't want to become a laughing stock.
>You decline to do whatever that is.

>Immediately erase this note and prohibit whatever corner of your mind that thought it was a good idea from ever thinking again

>Ignore this one. It'll come around once you realize how often it happens.

>I will turn this text adventure around...

> Belay that. If Tewi saw the pose, you automatically lose all quest items and COOL points.
> Eat 5 magic stone snacks

>The last thing you need is to give Tewi more ways to torment you...
>You do not have this item!

>Remember that this is irrelevant, as we had no intention of doing it to Tewi, as she doesn't deserve the gesture

>While this is true, if you only had to worry about Tewi when you could see her, you'd be a much happier person. Alas.

>Ah bless ye~ Yalls deserve credit too.
>You have checked your room and the southern dormitory. This leaves the two northern dormitories, the kitchen, and the baths to be checked on on this side of Eientei.

> Ponder what Patchouli's up to
> Recall if there is a rabbit-powered fan in the general area

>You expect she is cooped up in her nice, warm library.
>There is! It is presently in the storeroom. You kinda don't like the thing, the rabbits really have to throw themselves out to use it.

> Pay your respects to Kaguya
> Huggle Kaguya if permitted

>You wave to Kaguya from the doorway whilst contemplating your next move. She smiles and waves back.
>Kaguya might not mind that, she's hard to fathom a lot of the time. But this would require you to venture out into the cold, and you don't want to linger out there longer than needs be until you get something to cover your legs.

> Ah, so that means that this is chronologically after Patchy Quest, and not just a separate adventure.
> Check the kitchen for stockings

>You do remember that Patchouli did a whole lot of traveling the day the sun vanished. You were assigned to fix up the front before winter. None too soon, either, it snowed the next day after the heat wave broke.
>You go north down the intersecting hall, then east through the only door and into the kitchen.
>Several rabbits are at work here, getting things ready for lunch. There are a few stoves and grills here, only one one the former is in use right now. Toward the rear is the pantry, which is integrated with the kitchen for ease of access. A cursory look around does not reveal any sign of your stockings. But there are literally hundreds of places they could be hidden. Obvious exits are west.

> If not in kitchen, check baths for stockings.

>You decide to check on the baths. You leave the kitchen and head south down the corridor, past the main hall leading to the courtyard, and to the western door.
>You enter the baths, Eientei's pride and joy. They are fed by a naturally occurring hot spring, and offer an easy opportunity to get clean at any time of the day. A few rabbits are here, splashing around the irregularly shaped pool. You swear they are going to kill themselves one of these days. You look around, and don't see your stockings anywhere in plain sight. Obvious exits are west.

> While searching for stockings, check kitchen and bath for potentially useful items

>Practically anything could be useful. And there are far more things scattered about than you could hope to lift.

> Try to recall if you have anything longer than your current skirt.
> We're unlikely to find the stocking here, Tewi would never make it that easy. We may just have to grin and bear it.

>You tend not to like longer skirts, they tend to get tangled around your legs when you're trying to do things. Sadly, you never really anticipated stocking theft.
