>"If you like," says Ran. "Do you even have a way to carry it, though?"
>The Ruined Roast certainly will not fit in any of your coat pockets.

> "Chen, I will GET you fish, as much fish as you like!"

>"I can like a whole lot of fish!" Chen answers.
>"Chen, don't take advantage of people," says Ran. She then looks to you. "If you could find some, that would be lovely. The rivers and lake are frozen over right now."

> Ask Chen or Ran about Tewi and Muramasa.

>"Chen, got find one, please?" asks Ran.  Chen nods and gets up to start rooting around the kitchen.
>"I've never met Murasa," Ran says. "But Chen and Tewi play sometimes. "
>"Uh-huh!" says Chen, "She was here last week. We played dominos."

> Ask Ran where Yukari is and why they're living out here alone

>"Miss Yukari is back there," says Ran, gesturing toward the curtained off part of the house. "She's hibernating right now. We live out here so people won't bother us all the time." She frowns. "Not that I'm implying a little company from time to time is bad, before you feel that I'm talking about you. As well, Kourindou isn't too far away."

>It's not that strange that it didn't work for a number of reasons. You expect, even without holding your basin, that you would have to set it up properly.
>"Sunglasses?" asks Ran.
>"I think Yukari-sama has some," says Chen.

> Equip basin as headgear in that case.

>It does not make room for your ears. And you wash your face with that in the morning, you don't want it all over your hair.

>"Hooray!" Chen cries. Ran gives her a look. "...Sorry," she says, and repeats "Hooray," in a normal speaking tone.
>You know of the lake near Scarlet Devil Mansion, on the southern part of the Forest of Magic. And there is a river that runs through much of Youkai Mountain.
>You've gone fishing with Kaguya and the rest before. You'll not especially good at it, but you have a good understanding of what to do.
>You leave the Yakumo household, and continue eastwards. The ground begins to gently slope upwards, as you enter a small, dense forest.
>You continue eastward, as the woods grows darker and more menacing. You suspect that if the trees had their leaves, it would be impossible to see much of anything here. You note a small cottages hidden among the leafless bushes, which you imagine would ordinarily be obscured.
>You continue eastwards and come to a village alongside a frozen river, set among a sizable field of cattails and other riverside plants. The slope here is very noticeable. The houses are designed to blend in with the scenery, having a sort of rounded look that makes one thing of rocks smoothed by flowing water; many of them seem to face or open directly into the river. There is one notable exception to this; a rather large warehouse at the edge of the village. There was certainly the effort made to make it look less boxy and more a part of the world around it, but there's really only so much one can do with a big ole warehouse. Several kappa mill about. Obvious exits are west, south, and east.

>You knock. "Come on in!" Nitori calls.
>You enter.
>You are in a warehouse full of old scrap and assorted junk. The former outweighs the latter, but you can see some complete and recognizable things here and there, such as a telescope in the corner. Nitori is sitting at a workbench, tinkering at something with a screwdriver. The walls are also covered in various bits of scrap and half-finished things. Obvious exits are NorthA and NorthB.
>Nitori looks up at you, cries "Gah!" and quickly looks back down. "Sorry, didn't expect you to show up so early, Reisen."

>Leave basin there
>Go with Nitori

>"Hey, if you're going to do that kind of crap, the door's over there." says Nitori.
>You leave the Basin on the table.
>You follow Nitori outside. She leads you further east.
You follow a snowy road that runs along frozen river. The incline becomes more and more severe and difficult to ascend, until you come to what can be most kindly described as a gentle cliff. A waterfall feeds the river, sending up chilly mist that that you take especial pains to avoid. Though the mountain slope is rather harsh and covered with snow, you are pretty sure you can make your way up it without flying. Thankfully, someone has carved in stairs for the more severe bits. Here and there the mountainside is dotted with curious houses built on stilts; you can see a couple of tengu here and there lazing about. About halfway up slope, some distance from the road, you can see a pile of metal. Far above and ahead, you can see the Moriya Shrine. Obvious exits are east and west.

> Kill two birds with one stone

>You have exactly no stones and thus are unable to kill any birds, which are also absent.
