We find Alice and let her know what's going on, then reconvene at the Hijiri Temple with Flan (and Ichirin in order to get her John Hancock). I suspect that's where we'll end up bedding for the evening, but I want to make one last trip to Youkai Mountain first - if there's anyone other than the Rainbow Serpent that would have even the slightest lead about where Remilia went, it's Aya.

What do you mean by "giving up"? I don't think we need to bother her again for the rest of the day, the trip to Youkai Mountain is doable on our own. We'll probably be hitting her up again tomorrow, though, for a trip to Haihan.

I assume you're not talking about a romantic route because that's an incredibly scummy thing to do to Meiling.

Oh, like that? I extended that offer to Juza because I get the feeling she has a lot less attachment to this land, particularly after her defeat at our hands, and ESPECIALLY if we can take Mikoto Teru down. Mitsu has a specialized job in this time, and seems reasonably happy with her lot in life; I wouldn't want to take her away from that.

>"Yes, Head Maid!" she says.
>You make your way up the road. Soon small houses spring up on the roadside, and a couple of small shops. It doesn't take you long to find a two-story building with a sign featuring a crudely painted mastiff rolled on its back with an exaggerated tongue lolling out. A fair amount of hustle and bustle can be heard within. Dreamy looks at the sign with squinted eyes and pursed lips.

> Enter!

>"Right!" she says.
>You enter the establishment. It is fairly dingy inside; the western sun is blocked off by a neighboring building. Simple paneled floors, walls of alternately wood and paper shoji panels, and a firm roof make up the interior, decorated by a variety of prints. Tables are set out in two groups, allowing for space to walk toward the stairs in the back. The place is lively, with most of the tables being full of people with various youkai features, as well as the occasional full youkai. With regards to the latter, you see Alice sitting at a small table in the southeastern corner, a small cup by her side, hands folded on her lap and looking toward you. Again, you are stuck by how unsettling her face is, and find yourself wanting to stare and try to piece together why it is. There's just something wrong there.

>You make your way over.
>"It seems your travels have gone well," says Alice. She glances toward Dreamy, and then the box she's holding. "Ah, the museum director will be pleased, surely."
>She then looks at you and frowns. "Hm, well, it is good that you have had that treated."
