>You enter the forest. You almost expect the mish-mash of architecture to smooth out, but it remains as jumbled as ever when the first thing you see is a traditional pagoda among the trees. There are some stone buildings, and a few stone fortresses that look rather like larger and fancier versions of what Sir Kay had. Some are covered in moss and vines, others are sparkling clean and resplendent with flags and banners. There's also a surprising number of hills and mounds; you don't pay the any mind, until you see a small youkai in rags slip up from under one of them, as though the ground were just a curtain to be parted. There are a lot of youkai here, largely ones with various kinds of insect wings, and also a number of faeries. It feels somewhat like the Forest of Magic, but with stranger trees and more evidence of civilization.
