Panache may have been the wrong word. I wrote those previous two posts in a hurry. It's more that I've found that the best way to get someone to do something unorthodox (if not outright bizarre, like this) is to explain what the needs are and act sympathetic to the craziness of the suggestion before actually making it. Coming right out with it makes us seem like we haven't thought it through and are suggesting it because we're weird.
Of course, it seems to havd worked out okay in this case, and an argument could be made as to how much Reimu actually thinks solutions through, but still.
