Title: DiplomacyII: Fall Retreat 1903
Post by: Schezo on December 09, 2014, 06:22:56 AM
Alright, let's play this game again since we all want something to play.

We'll play Vanilla unless you all really want a different variant.

Map with full country names (http://puu.sh/dnbJL/f4ad74cf6e.jpg)
Map with abbreviations  (http://puu.sh/dnbLc/6e25d2ba58.png)

Here's a rulebook (http://www.wizards.com/avalonhill/rules/diplomacy_rulebook.pdf) if you wanna play and have never actually played before.

There are
72 hours to send in orders for moving turns.
24 hours to send in orders for building turns.
24 hours to send in orders for retreat phases

If you go 2 turns without sending in an order, your country will fall to civil unrest and everything you own will turn neutral.

I'm going to start the game now.

The deadline for Spring AD 1901 is 12.12 at 1800 CST.

If you could title your PMs to me diplomacy it'd help me organize your moves but it isn't mandatory.  Titling your with the current move phase (Spring 1901) will also help make things more organized.

Best of luck.

They all use hold on their current space and don't support each other.  If they are dislodged they're disbanded.  Units are removed from furthest from the original supply centers first.

How unfortunate that Turkey and Germany have been thrust into such unfavorable situations. My own empire is still quite young as well, but it saddens me a bit that it has come to this. Germany has already toppled like a simple domino, and Turkey just seems to be stuck in a corner.

However, I can understand how this situation may have come about. The reason is quite simple, girls. You trusted, and even helped Russia, and Russia is both a traitor and a rat. Germany learned the hard way, how long before Turkey is next?

Now that Germany has fallen, however, Efforts can be more utilized against a game of cat and mouse against the Russian regime. Of course, I am the cat, and you'll soon be nothing more then a plaything. Don't be worried, though, I'll enjoy it, at least.

Build an Army on Tri, of course, once the time comes around.

Well Schezo at least knows where I'm building, given that I can't build anywhere else.

If I can get a rollcall from all invested parties I could pick up where Schezo left off, or we just start a new game altogether.

I'll assume the clever "gone forever" and "I am RIP" messages are funny XD ways of saying "we're here" and not "we've no interest to continue". If not, please clarify.

Working under that assumption though, here's a reminder:

Iiiii'll just be crying in a corner. Right here. Don't worry about it, I've got it all... under control. Yeah.

Means Italy doesn't get to build, France gets to build +1. I'll fix the map asap. EDIT: Map fixed, all numbers should be correct now.

Remember, you have 11 hours to submit orders! If you need more time to get your bearing again, please let me know and I can extend the deadline. Heavens know after so many days of inactivity you might need to reforge diplomatic ties, and some leniency is possible.

Is what Affinity said. I don't know if this was witty rollcall or he actually meant he's gone forever. I assumed the former. :s

Title: Re: DiplomacyII: Fall Retreat 1903
Post by: Bardiche on February 23, 2015, 08:33:03 PM
I should probably extend deadline by some hours to allow SkyPal to remove 3 units or something.

I do have all other orders processed and all, but up until I update you've time to rescind orders and change them.

Sky Paladin does replace Affinity then, RIP any alliances you folks might've had with Russia.

I'll allow Sky Paladin up to when I get back from work tomorrow at ~13:30 UTC to decide on removal of units.

QUAD POSTING IS TOWNIE

I deciphered Sky Paladin's cryptic orders and have thus processed the map as follows:

It is now Spring 1401 (Movement)

Your deadline is 25 Feb 2015, 22:00 UTC (1 day, 22 hours, 30 minutes from now) (http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/generic?iso=20150225T22&p0=%3A&msg=Spring+1904+Movement)
Apologies for the slightly shorter-than-two-days deadline, but I can't regularly update at midnight my time. Deadline extension can happen with simple majority.

Hi folks.  While I don't know what agreements you may have had in place with my predecessor, that doesn't mean I can't still honor them, provided they are still relevant.

I cordially invite all leaders to PM me with their current assessment of the situation and update me on any recent world events that you feel are relevant.

Are we extending for Dorian, finding a temp replace, or just letting him idle?

This is your friendly 3-hour-late-despite-not-wanting-to-be-up-after-midnight arbiter.

I don't have all orders in, Dorian's AWOL. I've half a mind of just calling it; I tried reviving this but it doesn't look as though people're too keen on it. I don't want to harass people to send in orders.

No, Sky Paladin also managed to submit before deadline. At the time of speaking I still don't have all orders from non-Dorian players so I'm calling it here. Dorian's AWOL anyway and I don't feel like figuring out what to do with the missing player slot.
