BTW, we watched part of the movie version of The Scarlet Letter (still the worst book ever written BTW). I burst out laughing and thoroughly enjoyed what we watched, because it was SO bad. Ignoring the fact that the actress playing Hester was clearly both possessed (her eyes...trust me, there was some mojo going on with her) and stoned (in one scene she went from having her eyes out of focus to having them bloodshot), ignoring the fact that her husband looked like he was from a slasher film, look at this picture:

The actress who played Hester looked like she was possessed or blind, her eyes were that whacked-out.

And I reiterate that Pearl was fucking insane.

That's what I said about the eyes. We stopped the movie for the day right before we got to see Pearl's amazing acting, but I believe you when you say she's insane.

But COME ON. They screwed up the "scarlet" part of the scarlet letter. HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!

EDIT: @Xan: It's sort of a mix between the two. I wouldn't watch it simply for the hilarious parts, but the hilarious parts are HILARIOUS.
