Kanaya and Feferi, awesome as they were, did not die in vain. For they were instrumental in engineering the best Karkat facial expression ever. And look on the bright side, we're technically only in a -2 troll deficit since Aradia recently came back and all.

Also, i'm not *incredibly* surprised at the turn of events, though it worries me that it signals the approaching end of Homestuck with characters being picked off left and right.. A volitile mish-mash of personalities, castes, and sociopathic tendencies armed with overpowered weapons in a secluded place, knowing that you're the last living members of your race... someone's bound to die sooner or later.

I've pretty much concluded that this is a Doomed Timeline.

1. God-Tier Aradia can time-travel.

2. Kanaya gets a message from Doc Scratch right before shit goes down. That is Unresolved Business, and it seems out of character-concept for Doc Scratch to send someone a message to someone who will die before reading it. I suppose it's possble that Karkat will look and it'll say "Hey, Karkat, sorry about Kanaya dying and all" but that feels too convoluted, even for Doc Scratch (or at least the wrong kind of convoluted).

And I like Kanaya's reaction-face better.
