Pros to beating StB:
-You get to say you beat StB
-A little more danmaku experience
Pros to not beating StB:
-You get to make a multitude of people feel better about themselves
-It requires absolutely no work on your part
While I do get (some) bragging rights when I
finally "beat" StB, I don't feel like it's worth the effort of putting
a few several hours to finish up. Then again, I could always rub it in that I score better than certain other people with no motive for scoring. Hmm...
However, I really like the idea of making people happy by not doing anything other than sitting on my ass (probably) doing something else.
Additional pros:
- Suddenly other Touhou games aren't as difficult anymore.
- You will appreciate what Aya does for a living more.
Additional cons:
- Tengu is Watching: Black Eyes stuck in your head for days.
- Your sanity may be in peril.

A greater appreciation of Aya (and her occupation) would be a bonus I suppose.
Retrospective Kyoto got stuck in my mind for days. I remember the days when I wasn't such a competent player and ended up trying to complete certain scenes for
hours. Not a pleasant experience.
And I'm also pretty sure I'm not sane at this point :V
By the way, I'm finding the current Topic Title really, really disturbing.
