So based off a remark of Jan's on IRC we ended up trying to figure out what would go into a Tipsy Yuuka (probable decision: elderflower liqueur (http://www.stgermain.fr/) for floweriness, some fruit, and a hell of a high alcohol content), and I began wondering what would go into cocktails inspired by other Touhou characters.
I decided a Nitori-themed cocktail would definitely have to start with cucumber soda (http://www.drysoda.com/flavor-cucumber.php), and then Drake said I should toss this out as a thread over here. Let's have some fun~ :3

You should drink cucumber-flavored beer?~
-
The Sloshed Cirno
-Place vodka in plastic cup.
-Place stick in center of cup. Use some toothpicks to keep it in place.
-Put into chest freezer
-Wait several hours.
-Remove from freezer
-Peel Off plastic cup
-Serves one.

I went for something I know actually exists and I can verify is tasty. :V
EDIT: But yeah, just for posterity, I did get the reference~
-
All I like are fruit juices mixed with vodka, so if I can make a Tipsy Yuuka out of what I would actually drink, so much the better for me. :v
-
(I'm going to say St Germain, Sour Apple Schnapps, Raspberry liqueur and more vodka than one would normally use. Just so someone can try it.)
Journeyman Spark (hee purvis)
-151 Proof Rum
-Choice of energy drink
-Citrus Vodka
-Blue Cura?ao
-Sweet and Sour mix
*Rim it with your choice flavor of Pop Rocks :3
-
Immortal Princess
-One 250 ML serving of any decent quality wine.
Drink normally. When approximately 125 ML have been consumed, replace with 125 ML of water. Repeat until satiated.
-
Hatate Scoop
1 jigger raspberry schnapps
1 shot dark rum
1 shot white rum
1 shot red orange juice
Shake well together on ice, pour into martini glass. Garnish with melon ball (cantaloupe recommended).
-
Tsundere Mokou
Container: Bamboo hollow shoot.
Rockstar (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51jTPTE1cUL._SS500_.jpg) 1/2 can
Honey red bull, 1/2 can preferably boiled first.
Bailey's Cream 1 shot.
Dry Vermouth 1/2 shot
Mint Leaves 5 leaves, grinded.
Citrus anything, Vodka etc 1 shot
Lemon/Lime halves
Instructions:
1. Grind mint leaves with a standard Old Fashioned glass. Add 1/2 squeeze lime to the grind to maximize flavor. Save the other half for later. Transfer contents to bamboo shoot or really tall glass.
2. Prepare Boston Shaker with fresh ice, pour vermouth quickly, followed by the citrus alcohol of choice, (this bartender prefers Smirnoff Lemon).
3. Assuming you already boiled your red bull prior, put the Rockstar in and shake well.
4. Strain well and steady into bamboo shoot, as this is a messy way of presentation and without much class, suitable for the binging tsundere immortal who has a crush for the immortal princess of Eientei, it is not recommended for the suave gentleman. (This Bartender prefers a long and tall straight glass)
5. Layer slowly the red bull on top.
6. Layer the Bailey's cream to the top very carefully. To represent the semi sweetness concealing the bittersweet sour tsundere within the drink.
7. As you have half a lemon left, you can choose to use it as a garnish, or simply offer on the small plate, as a side to the customer.
As this drink can be considered complex, please do not frustrate yourself like a certain immortal forest guide attempting to prove something for the sake of nothing to a certain werecow.
To best enjoy this drink, approach a mate, and yell to him or her : "I AM NOT TSUNDERE, I-I-I-IT IS NOT LIKE-E-E I WANTED TO DRINK THIS!" and then chew on lemon/lime wedge, and down the bloody thing. Sip if you prefer to see the pretty drink mix into a muddy color of red brown liquid.

Guys, shouldn't this belong in TARC :ohdear:
Edit: Moved.

the title looks way more interesting from the main page

"Touhou-inspired coc..." indeed. :V

I'm disappoint :V
Wait off-topic

I actually read the title as cock-tails, Erebus-style. Dammit Erebus.

I know almost nothing about alcohol or making mixed drinks, but someone needs to come up with a Seven-Colored Puppeteer drink. Maybe like seven different fruit juices involved?
-
I might get into this thread at some point, but after this weekend and some reflection I don't even want to think about booze for some time. Sorry, this little oni is burned out.

it is already invented, we just call it Zombie.

How about drinks that actually resemble the characters in appearance to some degree?
Like float some sunflower petals in the Tipsy Yuuka or something XD

That actually sounds pretty neat. Bonus points if someone makes this and posts pictures. :V

I very much plan on it.
-
Blue Oni Red Oni
Liquorice spirits (Black Cat, Bertagnolli, etc.)
Frozen blueberries
Frozen cranberries

I randomly thought about this, but how would using plum wine with something sound for Yuyuko?
Except I'm stuck on ideas on what to put with plum wine since it's already so sweet...
What I have in stock:this (http://www.choya.co.jp/products/umeshu/special/) and the Gekkeikan brand.
Also, something that involves Nigori sake (http://www.gekkeikan.co.jp/products/lineup/type07.html) for Letty.
I hear that the one called "silky" from shouchikubai is quite good.

As far as appearance goes here are some that I can think of at the moment:
Patchouli- Lemon rind cut into moon shape on rim of cup. Drink should be purple
Yukari- I had an idea that you would drop in some dark food coloring or some dark heavy drinkable liquid into the drink just before serving, that way you would have a kind of shifting elegant look to the fluid. Also, little Yukari parasol in the drink would be fabulous, maybe a red bow tied around the neck of the glass.
Yuyuko- Would love to either see her fan sitting in the middle of the drink, or have a sour sugar butterfly sitting in the center or on the rim. Also, cherry blossoms in the drink itself. Would be cool if you could figure out how to get mist to rise from it.
Yumemi- It should have some kind of strawberry flavor with a strawberry on the rim impaled by a little red cross.
Rin Satsuki- Just don't fill the glass Red drink with full cherries (2?) resting at the bottom.
That's all I can think of atm, I want to try to make some of these :D
-
Having the drink look like the character was sort of what I was trying to do with Lunatic Princess. The blur curacao and pomegranite juice would make a nice purple color, and the wedge of Asian pear would look like a crescent moon.
-
Flandre could have a "Cranberry Trap". Maybe find a way to might a light colored drink with cranberry flavor and drop some cranberries in the bottom. You could also decorate the glass with some kind of colored crystals to mimic her wings.
-
@PrismYoshi
Seven colored puppeteer would be and amzing drink. Could be pulled off with differently weighted juices. Experimentation needed....
-
Scarlet Blossom
Orange Juice (4/10)
Apple Juice (4/10)
"Waldbeeren" Sirup (http://www.mautner.at/upload/media/sirup_waldbeere_609/sirup_waldbeere_header.jpg?timestamp=1225024899) (1/10)
Optional - Sangria or any other alcoholic drink you prefer. (1/10)
=D
-
The Suika special:
-Drink a shitload of cheap liquor
-
Hourai Elixir on the Rocks
I know next to nothing about liquor, so someone help me out here!
Should have rum and lemon juice. Should smash the drinker quickly.

Monster Cucumber (Nitori cocktail)
Ingredients:
4 oz. cucumber soda
1.5 oz. blue curacao
Directions: Combine ingredients in a glass with ice and squeeze green gel candy onto the inside of the glass. Garnish with a slice of cucumber and enjoy. Try to drink it slowly to allow the candy sliding down to steadily dissolve and leave a hint of sour apple near the end.

This is one damn refreshing drink
-
Whoah, that Nitori tasted pretty awesome (inexpensive, too). There was still sour stuff at the bottom of my glass when I finished, but that was easily scooped up by the cucumber and curiously om chom chom'ed, which resulted in an...interesting flavor. :V Neat idea!

1. Read the rules section with regards to bumping old threads.

My apologies, then. How should I go about this now that the deed is done. Since I'll be posting more ideas I have in the works and because now I'm in some sort of purgatory where I'm not sure if starting a whole new thread will cause a disturbance or not.
just to stay on topic somewhat~~ Currently using an idea from a Marisa cocktail posted earlier by rimming the glass with pop rocks. I don't know how well that's going to work out and I still need to find a nice mixture for it. Only for sure parts so far are the bottom of the glass will have konpeito candies and it will be called Stardust Reverie just to keep up a theme of spell cards = booze. Also have somewhat of a start on a Master Spark but the alcohol I have lined up so far for it don't taste any good :/
-
The Monster Cucumber looks amazing @_@
-
No worries. What's done's done, just make a note for future reference.
-
The Monster Cucumber looks amazing @_@
Speaking as a man who's the world's biggest fan of cucumber or too much of a booze fellow, yes. Yes it does.

I couldn't agree more.

"Concentrate your mind. Mutter the spell to the drink tenderly. Serve to someone you like. Unleash your annihilation of love!"
This is a very tangy and fruity drink. I like it but the effort it takes is a lot more than Monster Cucumber.
A note about Suika's drink.
Missing Purple Power
1-2 shots Sizzurp or Purple Rain
1 can Dr pepper
Drop the shot(s) into a glass filled with Dr Pepper and down. Where did the power (alcohol) go? You'll taste it, that's for sure.
Don't know about that, i might try it in the next week.
