Oops, Normal. I've yet to even get past stage 4 in UFO Hard (only played UFO Hard twice or something though), and I've never played easy on any of the games unless it was for a score run or for GFW, just because that's all that's required for Extra and I dislike that game too much to give it any sort of effort.

About time I finally got this.

I'm never doing a full run of this game again, maybe only of a lower difficulty to get Extra unlocked for ReimuB and MarisaB

Time to finish those captures, then maybe I'll learn how to score in Extra. Outside of unlocking Extra for those 2 shots, I'll never do a full run of any difficulty again. I can keep my UFO playing to just Stage Practice and Extra now.

Sanae clear of 10Demo yesterday, and Marisa/Reimu clears today. I still think the life system belongs in a coin-guzzling arcade (or a fire), but I'm slowly starting to hate the game less on the grounds that it's still good ol' Touhou aside from that.

We'll see if I can get the Youmu clear. I'm not particularly optimistic because my focus control with a keyboard is still rather weak, but this may be the exercise in focus control that I need to overcome that obstacle.

Who cares if you don't have a lot of lives when you get a lot of bombs, terrificly abusable hypers and laughably trivial stages? You can apply some sort of trivializer to all parts of the game. Isn't that beautiful?

I did another pacifist attempt at the trial. 2 death Yuyuko and game over at the kunai spam but it's the best I have done. I hope to see someone beat the trial pacifist, it would be amazing.

YES! IaMP Suika Hard 1cc. Been working on that for a while now. Remilia started to actually let me hit her, sometimes. Others, she lost her hitbox. And so did Marisa. But whatever. I still had one life left when I finished too. Sweetness!

Also, that trick on Red Magic, it failed me this time. She moved too far out and messed me up for a good while. ;_;

Stage 5 unlocked for Practice in Lunatic EoSD with Reimu B. I sure was happier when I accomplished this in IN and PCB. At those times there were just a few mistakes where I said "That was dumb, get rid of those and you'll clear it", but this time there were hardly any really dumb mistakes, more things where my lack of skill would be to blame. This is unsettlingly discouraging and motivating at the same time, I guess.

Edit: Actually, I think I can do this. The strategic parts of stage 5 seem to be somewhat easy to figure out, at least I've got a fairly solid approach in mind for most of them already. At this rate, stage 4 will probably be the decisive factor since there's only so much that strategy can do there, but I'm pumped!

Finally beat th07 Phantasm with all characters and shot type.
Last one was SakuyaA, which went quite horribly at the end. Died two times in the survival card and two times at the last card without using bombs.
What should I do now?

Ok, I'm no Lunatic Player. Sure I'll grind and grind on Extra modes when possible (and still not beat them) but I haven't really moved out of Normal. With how easy 10D on Normal was to me, I thought I'd venture out into the Lunatic mode. No real reason, just thought I'd have a poke. Every time I've poked at Lunatic on any game, I have failed to capture anything; never mind getting past stage 1.

Not only did I get past stage 1, I got the first two spell cards on the main boss captured and ALMOST caught the 3rd but luck gave up on me by then.

Yes, it's not game completion (trail in this case) or anything like that. But to me, it's a big thing! And with that, I feel a new wave of optimism upon me. XD

I feel sorta bad that I didn't capture God Art, Scarlet Meister, or Killing Doll. Other than the death at stage 4 laser-books, this replay was overall crappily successful. Crappy, but successful.

Oh, and now... I have finally conquered the Scarlet Devil!

Now it's time to challenge the Undead Princess...

I still can't get over the fact that I actually did it. I've lost at Scarlet Gensokyo 12 times in Lunatic for the past month...
