Anything that's 3D isn't retro to me. Therefore, I consider the GBA to be semi-retro.

SNES ----> Super Mario RPG
Best SNES game I've had, and I've owned a crapload of games because my mom used to work at a wholesale electronics store back then.

SNES ----> Super Mario All-Stars
Super Mario World

Yoshi's Island
Alladin
Animaniacs
A Link to the Past. (This is my most played game, and it is also the one in best condition.)

The list goes on. Not just Mario.

Spoiler:
I still can't 100% Rusty Bucket Bay in Banjo-Kazooie without the infinite air cheat. =/

Man, I'm glad that I'm not the only one with this problem. Then again, water levels in 3D games have always terrified me a bit. :ohdear:

On topic!

Anything Kirby. Anything.

Also, Chrono Trigger. Best damn RPG ever made.

Any Donkey Kong Country. And /definitely/ NES Duck Tales. Mainly because of the Moon.

What, the GCN and GBA are about as retro as Halo 2...

Anyway, Super Metroid, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and San Francisco Rush if the N64 counts.

I'd say... if it's old enough to be on the Virtual Console, it's old enough to be considered retro.

Maybe. I don't know of anything newer than N64 that's on the VC, sooo...

Ocarina of Time is going to be redone for the 3DS...

So I think it pretty much kills any chance of it becoming retro even though the game came out like...  12 years ago?

X-Com: UFO Defense, a.k.a. UFO: Enemy Unknown. I still play it from time to time and it runs well in DOSbox.

System Shock 1. There's a fan-made version that works fine on modern systems and can be run off a flash drive.
I'll come up with an evil scheme later. First, it's time to build a giant robot!

You can't have a good evil scheme without a giant robot!

That's actually a good question. (That, SF64, etc. etc., too.) Is it being redone or is it just being given 3D graphics and ported...? ???

Ohmygod I remember having so much fun setting up an average town, then torturing it to death with hordes of natural disasters.

Well, Nintendo milked OoT on the Gamecube with their "Master Quest" thing, which was supposed to be an expansion pack for the N64 a long time ago.

And then they do it again for the Wii on the virtual console.

And now they're thinking on doing it again for the 3DS...

Ganon is never going to get eternal rest... =[

I think it's just a port with a little graphics polishing, though.

Yay for murderous genocidal psychopathic mayors~ :V

And that makes sense, Selection. And... yeah... I kinda wish they'd polish up a different game, like... say... Kirby 64. totally not biased against OoT, nope

Nintendo needs to stop milking OoT. Sure, they're good games, but it will never be the same. These things were best enjoyed during their time.

Kirby 64 should be re-released with more levels. I'd totally get it. Release it with the 3DS along with the Wii release.

And, I also consider the Dreamcast to be semi-retro, but only because it was short lived.
=============
One of my best retro games continues to be the first Zelda game for the NES. Also, the Game & Watch series that were on the GBC.

StarTropics 1 and 2 for the NES. I have some good memories on them, and I still have the cartridges too. If only the NES would work more often...

If possible, try investing in one of those not-quite-an-NES-but-still-works-like-one consoles sometime.

Shouldn't be more'n like 30 or so bucks, if ya've got the cash.
