And over and over and over and
Life Burn isn't the type of deck I play but I can offer some suggestions.
-1 Stratos +1 Reinforcements of the Army or E - Emergency Call
Works better with your Spell Absorption and gets Marie in the grave ASAP. Consider making room for another E Call.
-1 PSZ +1 Level 1 Tuner
Not that Plaguespreader isn't good. Your monsters are all level 4 except Sangan, and Level 5 can make Magical Android. Alternate choice would be Black Salvo to make Black Rose Dragon.
-2 Black Garden -1 Terraforming +1 Level Limit Area B +2 Messenger of Peace
Black Garden is a headache and you're as likely to give them free Synchro material as stall them.
I don't like Ancient Leaf and Hand D as a draw engine for burn but I don't know how I'd make room for the +3 Good Goblin Housekeeping + 3 Accumulated Fortune +2 Emergency Provisions I'd want instead.
-2 Dark Bribe +2 Starlight Road
Without Heavy Storm and Cold Wave there isn't much reason to give your opponent a free card for negation, and the biggest destruction effects are from monsters.
Or you could play it this like one of my friends did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F63dV9epWq8
Eh...The main reason I have PLZ is because of his utility. Not only does he allow synchros, he also allows an extra summon that can be used however I please. The only other thing that comes close is Grow-up Bulb, but there aren't too many lvl 5 I'd be interested in(Magical Android is okay.) The only synchro I plan on using PSZ for is Tempest Magician to deal the final blow. If you can find space, though, I'll put Grow-up Bulb.
As for Stratos, I chose him because he seems to be the more consistent of the two. If I draw into both of my Prismas, E-Call is dead. I can dump it using Hand Destruction, but I can do that with Stratos too. Even if both Prismas are out of my deck, he's still an 1800 beatstick, and he has an additional effect I can use if there's a Prisma already on the field. If necessary, he also turns Monster Reborn into an E-Call that grants me immediate field prescence. I always worry about advantage when making a burn deck, so if I can find a viable +1, I'll take it.
As for Black Garden, I keep it because it helps the main point of the deck, which it seems you have missed. The main goal of the burn is use Spell Absorbtion for multiple life point gains that Fire Princess turns into Burn. Marie's just there for being convenient, and E-heros add flexibility. It's also the reason for the huge number of spells. Black Garden helps because it can turn summons into life point gain which can also be turned into burn. Yes, it gives them free synchro material, but it gives me synchro material too, making plague more flexible. Also, it's more in your face than LL is. I don't like the idea of having a wall like that set up, as the opponent can easily blow it up. Black Garden has this problem too, but it's more likely to give me something out of it by lessening damage or giving me tokens to play with.
As for Ancient Leaf and Hand Destruction, I'm not to sure about them either. If I don't open right, Ancient Leaf could be dead. However, they are both Spell Cards, so they're compatible with Spell Absorbtion. Also, Ancient Leaf actually gives advantage, something I'm always looking for. Your options are all traps, which are slower, and from my experience with Chain Burn, I have to go out of my way for Fortune. Emergency Provions is subpar. Life point gain isn't worth the -2 it's guaranteed to give you, and I'm looking for quantity, not quality in life point gain.
As for replacing Dark Bribe with Road. I don't see the need. I don't know two many mass removal cards I would be able to road, and Bribe can't be Shien'd. If people decide to Hyunlei and Black Rose(only mass removal I can think of,) I'll use the one I have sided. I still answers to those two in the form of the Solemns anyway. Bribe just has more use. If there weren't many traps, and the guy's spamming effects, I'll use the road I have sided.
So far, you basically want to change the entire style of the deck. Right now, the goal of the deck is speed, and you want to change it into something more stall oriented. As much as I would want to do that, I doubt burn will hold up after a few turns, as you tend to either end up topdecking or you tend to be slow, risking being overrun by your opponents monsters before you can set up. Your friend's deck was cool, but I wouldn't replicate it because:
1.his opponent had little to no removal
2.It just seems really situational, I don't know anything other than Honest that could work that well.
3. He has 3 Solemns and I don't.
Still, you reminded me of Grow-Up Bulb, and I'll see if I can fit it in. I'll probably take out a leaf for it.
