Well then.

Luigi Armstraw

An ambiguously gay street thug who acts out a tough persona to cover up the fact that his parents died when his house exploded when he was still a child. The souls of his dead parents fused with him, taking the form of glowing tattoos across his body and giving him super strength. He did not learn of this until he met with a mysterious cloaked stranger (later revealed to actually be Edgar) who informed him of his new abilities before leaving him to raise himself in the streets. This mysterious cloaked stranger left an impression on Luigi, leading him to join the tournament in search of the stranger later.

Being incredibly muscular, Luigi has gained a ridiculously large street gang+harem combo of females, despite his implied homosexuality. This gang is known as the Shutterstock Watermarkers, hence the design on his shirt. The most notable member of Luigi's gang is his sidekick Margarie Margarita Gaye, the game's token loli character, who only appeared as a cameo in Luigi's win pose until the developers created a sequel by adding two new characters and a ridiculous amount of unpronouncable words/letters to the end of the game's title.

In-game, he is generally considered a bottom tier character, as he is themed around grapples and all his attacks are ridiculously close-ranged, and yet he lacks the movement abilities to get around long ranged attacks/projectiles and his attack hitboxes are so miniscule that sometimes he'll touch the opponent and still whiff. His only good matchup is against Mac, in which it's only stacked against Luigi 11 to -1 instead of the typical 15 to -5 like all Luigi's other matchups. Seriously, he can only take one demon wolf iceball before being forced to cower in the corner and block for the rest of the match since his player has no way to approach the opponent and regain momentum.

Even though his name sounds italian, Luigi's signature move has a ridiculous german name nobody can remember which is so complicated that it probably doesn't even make sense in its actual language. When used, Luigi german suplexes his opponent not once, but twice, causing them to explode. While it may look incredibly awesome when pulled off, it is borderline useless because the command is so fucking difficult to input that you'll probably only execute it when it's going to miss anyway. This is in sharp contrast to his super, which not only has ridiculous range, but has such a long animation that getting hit by it nearly guarantees a loss to time over. Really, you could go out and get ice cream and by the time you got back the super would only be a third of the way finished. This is great if you actually care enough to main him, but it typically results in endless torment for anyone playing arcade mode, because the AI is psychic enough to land it every single time you get in range even if you had no idea you were close enough for it to connect.

Luigi's theme song is a heavy metal piece in which all the notes contrast with eachother because any melody that would actually sound good had already been done before. The song is generally considered unremarkable outside of a small cult following, because it's essentially the exact same as every other BGM in the game.

Grappler bros, bottom tier forever :qq:

But still, shit man you beat me to the loli. I don't care I'm posting her anyway. (It's not like you can ever have too many of them!)

ALISON CHAINS

A former political prisoner that has escaped the grasp of King Bekku, she is the daughter of a notorious biker gang leader that was at the forefront of the resistance force during his takeover, known as the REBELS WITHOUT A CAUSE WITH A CAUSE. Though she managed to break out, the whereabouts of her father are unknown. Known for his propensity for starting needless (but highly entertaining) fights, she hopes to find him in Edgar's tournament - as well as destroy Gurren Bekku.

Her weapon is the Low Rider, a chain tied to the only two things of her father's she possesses (appropriately, basically anything that would've belonged to him would make a suitable weapon): his motorcycle engine and trusty crowbar. All her friends know it.

Alison combines her small hitbox with her long attack range to give her a good selection of midrange attacks, however she remains on the lower end of the tier list because she is just not fast enough. She'll be buffed like crazy in the next game and shoot up like three tiers though.

She does have some neat tricks though. Being the daughter of a biker gang leader, gasoline flows through her veins, which allows her to transfer her (literally) burning spirit energy to the Low Rider's engine - this allows the engine to run and zoom around in midair while she hangs onto the other end, giving her omnidirectional air dashing. Combined with her bullshit air normals, she can at least put up a fight this way, if not at a competitive level.

Her theme is southern rock in style, but it also includes a melodic motorcycle revving solo.

My idea could probably be retooled into a gimmick character anyway, so fair enough.

Plus I laughed like crazy at Alison Chain's profile, so it's all good.

Name: Hendrix
Threat Rating: S

No one knows where Hendrix came from, or what her deal is. She is an apparent pacifist, which makes her participation in the tournament all the more weird. Whatever he deal is, it's well known that King Gurren has declared her to be a under numerous death penalties, to be inflicted all at once. Greater Tripoli has offered a mountain of gold for her head. New Neo Mongolia has offered a slightly less impressive hill of nickels for her capture. It is generally believed that Hendrix probably stole one or more little black books from various world leaders. It is known she seeks to bring a stop to Steppenwolf, but no one really sure about the history between them; theories consider she may be a former lover or daughter, or possibly an insurance adjuster out to deal with the property damage he has caused. Those who know of Edgar suspect she may be a weapon of his gone awry, or a clerk at the post office he worked at, long ago. She may or may not know the truth of the fate of Luigi's parents (she doesn't, stop asking).

Despite being a pacifist and having never canonically been in a fight, Hendrix is a top tier asskicker. Having wings, Hendrix can fly. This seems hella broken, and it is! To compensate for this she has no overdrives, so a Hendrix player will be excepted to engage in a great deal of quarter circle spamming. This is fine, as she also has a projectile for pretty much every day of the month. Her sword, Roger, and her guitar, Zapp, are her primary weapons; the latter featuring in her Insta-Kill where she distracts the opponents with some hot licks, then runs away.

Hendrix theme is called Not Technically An Angel, which is based on a fusion of oldschool organ-heavy psychedelic and power metal.

Name: Elady Skychurch
Stage Name: The Rainbow Bridge
Character Theme: Midnight Crash
Instant Kill: Cry of Love

Elady is a fallen angel who wishes nothing more than to return to the heavens from which she was exiled. Armed with a replica of Uriel's sword, she will stop at nothing to find the earthly being with enough power to send her back to the sky, where she will strike down its ruler and take her place on the throne. She sees Edgar's battle tournament as a grand opportunity to hone her fighting skills and to, hopefully, find the man (or woman) who will help her achieve her revenge.

Her sword, the Fire of Eden, is a replica of the sword of Uriel, the angel said to guard the gates of the Garden of Eden. As a replica, it lacks the power of the original weapon and cannot be set ablaze like the flaming sword it copies. However, it is imbued with the element of fire, or a variant in the form of a heavenly flame, which allows her to perform fiery slash attacks and shoot flame projectiles.

Though pictured with a guitar, Elady does not summon it outside of her instant kill, Cry of Love. Its strings are the same used on the golden harps of the angels, and its sounds are said to be more beautiful than the voices of a siren chorus. Any mortal man will be driven insane by its notes, which can result in an automatic defeat.

Because of her status as a fallen angel, her flight capabilities have waned. Of her four wings, only two actually work anymore, giving her extremely limited flight. Rather than attempt to compensate, Elady has uses what's left of their power by the ability to jump three times in succession.

Her name refers to the Jimi Hendrix album "Electric Ladyland" and his temporary band "The Electric Skychurch."

Her stage refers to the Hendrix album "Rainbow Bridge." It is a stone bridge adorned with crosses and holy symbols. It acts as a link between the heavens and the earth, and those of impure souls cannot walk upon it.

Her theme refers to Hendrix's two albums "Crash Landing" and "Midnight Lightning." The style of the music is inspired by Dynasty Warriors 6's Battle of Chi Bi BGM with a more symphonic metal tone that uses violins.

Her IK refers to the Hendrix album "The Cry of Love."

Alright, let's plunge into this with wild abandon then, as carefully planning it out doesn't seem to be working!

Billy J. Moonwalker

A highly charismatic scamster (a "smooth criminal", if you will) who wanders from town to town, relieving gullible folks of their fortunes, not stopping 'til she gets enough (how much "enough" is varies at times), at which point she beats it for the next town, often with an angry mob of those she scammed chasing her.  It's not sure where exactly she originally came from, but her heavy dislike for Bekku might offer some clues... Or maybe that's just her general loathing for authority of any kind.

Unlike most of the other characters, Billy J cares little for what's at stake, and lacks any kind of personal reason for fighting.  She's just hoping she can maybe make a quick buck when all's said and done.  Billy J is reluctant to answer whenever asked why exactly she needs so much money, but if pushed she'll admit that it's to fund her lifelong dream: to buy her own amusement park.  In the end she's really a kid at heart, which probably explains her soft spot for children and reluctance to scam them.  Not to say she won't scam them if there's no-one else to scam, but she's more likely to feel bad about doing so afterwards.

Billy J has a very strange fighting style that incorporates dance moves into more traditional martial arts.  As such, she's that one character that would be almost unbeatable if anyone would take the effort to figure out to use her properly but just seems like too much work to master and so is generally placed at the bottom of tier lists because no-one wants to try and learn how to play her right.  Most players just jump to the conclusion that she's bad.  Really, really bad.  However, her Instant Kill, Blood On The Dancefloor, is one of the easiest to pull off, but no-one would try to win with such cheap tactics, right?

Her theme, Thrill Rider, is a dark yet bouncy piece of electropop that incorporates a monologue by Christopher Lee halfway through it's run.

(Oh god oh god I suck at this gaaah. >.<)

I assumed it was a reference to Billie Jean.

But stuff that's a reference to multiple things certainly works :3
