So tried to use google to find out if they ever made Tourney legal versions of those "god Cards" from the anime. Google gave me this http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_tell_if_yugioh_god_cards_are_real

On a side note it looks like they did but they look pretty useless.

Yeah, they were pretty disappointing. Obelisk can be useful, you could probably build a deck around him(Obelisk Garden sounds pro), but Ra, not so much. They completely took away everthing that made him awesome. Dump and SS? Nope, can't be SSed. Ok, that could be broken, it doesn't even get the attack points of what you used to summon it, and next to no protection( they could at least have: your opponent may not use book of Moon on this.) It's other effect can also only be used when it's summoned, so you can't go for Phantom plays either. Just one big disappointment. I hope Slifer doesn't suck as much.

Also, new Divine Beasts are coming out next...? pack. Loki, Odin, and Thor. All super-crazy-broken synchros.

Not really, the only one remotely close to overpowered is Odin, and maybe Loki. All decent decks nowadays run many different ways of removal(you can thank stardust dragon for that .) For all the resources I'm putting in to the synchro, I would rather go for Trish or have Goyo and some other monster on the field.

I forgot his anti-target effect, he might be good, but being able to be Brioed sends him down a bit.

As for Machine Emporers, they don't miss the timing, so lolScraps.

That was to be expected. Odin's effect was broke in the anime.

The fact that generic tuners are not allowed anymore disappoints me.

Also, the Attribute and Type change was disappointing, but not that much.

Not for the Polar Gods. The restriction isn't be too bad (heck, actually I embrace it, synchros are too splashable IMO,) the the fact that the resurrections require you remove a tuner "Polar Star Spirit" makes this lame. First, I the requirement was necessary (except for Odin, I can him causing trouble,) the it's just too specific. "Polar"(6 members) would have been perfect, Polar star spirit,(2 members) eh..no. But they had to specify that it be a tuner(1 member.)
It's so lame. too much work/risk for so little gain. Why would i off three monsters to summon this beatstick that's scared of Bottomless,D-Prision, and Compulsory, cards everyone and their mom is running. Even when it dies, I still run the risk of getting crow'ed/solemned/Warning'd, all of which see common play. If I really wanted to sack three monsters, I could go for Trish, so even if they crap on it, there's a better chance that I won't lose advantage.

The attribute thing doesn't bother me. They didn't deserve it anyway. Compare the Ragnarok duel to any duel with God cards. Gods cards completely raped everything, the person barely had to lift a finger. Now look at the ragnarok and how 5D have an out to it nearly every turn(even if they come back from battle, it still takes way coolness,) forcing Ragnakrok to protect it every 5 seconds.

Watch them squrm as they drop two JDs, thinking they won, only to be stopped by Waboku and Threatning roar several times in a row resulting in a deck out :smug:

Honestly... wow. I have a deck somewhere, but no clue if anything in it is banned or w/e. I haved even touched the thing in a few years, and i think my best card was St. Joan with ATK/DEF of 2800/2500 or sumthin like that.

So yeah I actually was able to pick up Warriors Strike and some other 3 pack of things and another card that gave me a Kuraz the Light Monarch today. I think I could make a better deck if I just had more of the generic cards from Warriors Strike.

The light monarch is pretty bad, since it essentially gives back the cards it destroys.

It also can't attack first turn giving your opponent a chance to retaliate with the cards you just gave them.

This reminds me despite the fact I slowly get more cards for a Deck I haven't actually made it yet. A few weeks ago I managed to get Glifford the Legend at a local Flea Market. Also is Gearfried the Swordmaster even worth it? It looks like incuding Gearfried the Iron Knight would be detrimental to the deck I want to make.
