I literally had to learn how to drum THAT NIGHT, because I do not own the game. Also, I was mad that they would NOT download Bad Romance.

Yes, Gaga fans are quick to post vids of her not singing in monotone, or playing the piano. Be that as it may, this isn't what she chooses to promote. It's like pointing to some great story Dan Brown wrote for a small-town zine. Wouldn't change the fact that The Da Vinci Code is his main vehicle of choice. Just as Gaga's main vehicle of choice is shallow, soulless pap. Even if it's satire, it's grating satire. And musical satire almost always fails. See: Fight for Your Right to Party.

I'm no expert, but I can think of one example of music parody that amused me, although it's mostly for the lyrics.

Of course, if it's just satire set to music, there's another I like a whole lot more. (Especially that line at 2:30, which is vicious)

I mean 'musical satire' in the sense of parodying a musical style; not satire set to music. If Gaga is being ironic about disco it just makes her annoying. Zappa is an exceptional exception, because so much of his work was 'sincere', and he didn't bury his talent.
