Yeah, I have no idea what's going on there. Shutting down/restarting through MCMA control panel doesn't stop it from saving 4 times each time. I've made another world backup just in case something gets corrupted before we can fix it. :ohdear:

I have put in a rather lengthy support Ticket with Provision Host, detailing all of our issues and speculations about the crashes. I'm hoping that they can help us update Mono and/or stabilize MCMA once and for all (or even replace it, if need be). I also brought up the bizarre quadruple saving events, as well as some issues I'm receiving from the control panel itself.

This might lead to some server downtime while they work with us. Hopefully, it won't be long.

Kinda reminds me of all these times when I was playing a computer role-playing game... ANY computer role-playing game. *saves* *saves again on another slot to be sure*
'Cept that I did it more frequently and not more than two times in a row.
But oh boy... Gothic. I would save in this game after almost EVERY interaction with other characters, or mobs.

I died so often and raged so often because I DIDN'T SAVE THE FUCKING GAME for the last like 30 Minutes

I got a strange message from the server yesterday. Can't remember what that was... something like "GameGuard: *did something like an error-Thing*"

Well. Good news: I managed to restart the server after the crash. So, my fear of not being able to restart it again has subsided. Bad news: Provision Host hasn't replied yet regarding my Ticket.

Oh well. At least we're operational again.. for now.

Ah, TNT goodness. :3 No lag either.

Either you have a very good computer, or 1.8 generates less lag when exploding lots of TNT. Knowing Notch, I'd guess the former. :V

Here's what I got out of it back then. Good system yes, Fraps on at near-1080p and 60fps yes, SMP server yes (so far more lag).

no it was just running :V I had my player on random albums so I was listening to some Rammstein songs for a while.

*sigh* Well, that was a waste of time. I updated the ticket to let them know about the saving issue fixing itself (through another crash, mind you). Their response:

Yep, completely missed the point. Would you kindly read the other 2/3 of my ticket now? The crashes are still occurring.

I've never received any feedback from them about Mono any of the times I've asked... so maybe I've been on the wrong track all along. PH seems to insist that the problem stems from our server setup and plugins. So, in short, I guess we're stuck running things the way they have been going... I'm not thrilled about it, but what can we do?

I'll monitor the server when I can and bring things back up whenever I catch the downtime.

EDIT- Speak of the devil.. another crash! Looks like this one is spamming the "unknown command" lines to the server log again. It should stop after several minutes, once it hits its memory limit. I should be able to restart it at that time.

Also, I'm really liking the projects that people have going on currently. I'm glad that people are enjoying their time on the server (despite its flaws) and building really cool stuff!

Dammit. I've been trying for the last hour, and the server refuses to go back up. Frankly, I'm tired of messing with it for now. I'm going to bed.

Sorry, but the server will remain down until further notice. Sorry about the wait.

EDIT - I've submitted a restart Ticket. Hopefully the host will have better luck than I did.

I got it going again. Strafe, if it's refusing to restart, exit out of all screens and enter "reboot" which reboots linux itself. Then login a few minutes later and you should be able to start it.

~~Server is still shut down right now though. Please wait warmly while I figure out how to boot the server without MCMA.~~
